HUGE disparities in divisions this year!!

Denver finished with a sparkling 14 yards rushing

Oh yeah?

Consider this:

Oakland had an eye-popping 10 passing yards!

TEN PASSING YARDS IN A GAME? 10?!

Bill threw for more yards in his Duxbury backyard with his family playing with a Nerf Football than Oakland did today!

Meanwhile, the NFC South has turned into a very underrated division:

Panthers...................6-2
Buccaneers...............6-3
Falcons.....................5-3
Saints.......................4-4

:D:D:D:D

I know my neighbor and his son did for sure ....
My arm fell off many years ago, I can still throw , but not as many

So Sabre's, If we put Denver and Oakland teams together we get 24 total yards

i'm not so surprised with oakland as i am with denver's lack of offense today.

Bill was referring to the NFC wild-card game Dallas won to set up the Carolina game- 40-15 over the Vikings on December 28, 1996.

The Carolina/Dallas divisional playoff game was on January 5, 1997.
Good call. I forgot that Dallas had won a game prior to that.

Another Raider stat that will stun you:

3 first downs agains Atlanta.

I'm not going to touch that one.

atlanta falcons defense rankings

Points/Game 22.0 (15th)
Total Yards/Gm 361.4 (25th)
Rush Yards/Gm 128.6 (23rd)
Pass Yards/Gm 232.9 (24th)

Oakland has to go to Carolina next week.

This has the potential for an absolute bloodbath.

anders is licking his chops at the thought of that tough-as-nails Panther D going up against the Keystone Kops

Over/under: 80 total yards of offense for Oakland next week?

I know they beat the Raiders, but how good has Matt Ryan been? Every time I see him it just makes me laugh that people actually thought that Colt Brennan would make a better NFL QB.

Actually the game is in Oakland, not that the Raiders have much of a home field advantage. It will be hard for the Panthers to top what the Falcons did today. But Carolina does have one of the top defenses in the league. This game has trap written all over it. You saw how much the Bucs struggled against KC today. Frankly I'll just take a win.

I doubt it, it's only a trap game if your looking ahead to play a good team, they play the Lions next ... IF they lose, it's thier own fault from lack of concentration.

Carolina's schedule wildly fluctuates from cupcakes to a murderers row- they have two gimmes in Oakland and Detroit, a three-game gauntlet against Atlanta, Green Bay, and a rematch with the Bucs on Monday night.

Then, they get a game against Denver's soft defense, a nice warmup for a difficult finish on the road against an angry Saints team and the Giants.

the game i'm looking forward to next week is NY Giants at Philadelphia sunday night.

Pittsburgh vs Indy next week, normally would be a great game, still may be one, the Colts are starting to get it together, (too late as it may be) but the Steelers have so few starters playing there is no consistancy.

Jacksonville vs Detroit
In the beginning of the year this was a no brainer, Jacksonville win, but IF they play as poorly as they did today, Detroit may have a chance.

(I can't believe I just typed that !!!!)

the pitt vs indy game might still be a good game especially if indy wins tonight which i did pick to win. you're right they're getting it together a little bit so you never know what will happen. just look at a few of these crazy games today granted that some of these teams made adjustments for the 2nd half that prevented some of these possible upsets. couple came up short. it's getting harder to make accurate picks every week when you see games like jaguars vs bengals and others.
