NFL 2008-09 Season

Sorry I wasn't on here earlier; ANOTHER internet connection problem.

Anyway,

who gets fired before Turkey Day- Rod Maranelli or Herman Edwards?
It won't be Marinelli, the Lions generally stick with thier coaches thru the contract (GM's Too) ...
How many years does he have left on his contract.

With Denver going to Cleveland on a Thursday night, given how bad their defense looked against Kansas City, New Orleans, Jacksonville, and New England,

HD MM is licking his chops. Cleveland goes from playing a rough-and-tough man's man team in the Ravens to the soft-as-cookie-dough Denver defense.

Maybe THIS will be the game that Brady Quinn starts, it's the first NFL Network game of the year, right ?
What perfect timing.
Actually I like Anderson better, but the fans appearently don't.

The Raiders had -2 yards of offense in the first half, and now have three yards of offense in their game so far.

THREE YARDS?!

THREE YARDS OF OFFENSE?!

HOW is this team going to win again this year?

You think thats bad ......
Watching the Denver game, in the 3rd Q the vaunted Denver running has 5 yards.

Here are the final numbers from the Raiders/Falcons game:

77 total yards of offense for Oakland. 77 yards IN 60 MINUTES! That's an average of 1.28 yards per minute.

Thank god Miami beat Virginia in an overtime thriller or Salsa might go postal.

Meanwhile, the REAL Super Bowl champions are 7-1

Normally, I would vent my frustrations, but I heard something that I found interesting:

From here on, Big Blue has the toughest schedule remaining in terms of opponents' records:

Philly, Baltimore, at Arizona, at Washington, at Philly, at Dallas, Carolina, at Minnesota.

This week's Monday night game I hope gets some more activity on this thread.

Browns/Giants and Broncos/Patriots had a lot of posting, since there are fans of both teams on here (HD and Bill).

Mccoy, cybok, vurbano, ramy- make this thread come alive for Steelers/Redskins. I felt not a lot of us were posting about Colts/Titans.

They have 2 games left that they will have an oppertunity to win.

Nov. 30 KC
Dec. 21 Houston

The reason I give them a chance against Houston is I figure thier season will be about over by then and not much incentive on either side.

Miami ahead of Denver, 16-7 at the half.

If that scores holds up, the last place team in the AFC East will have the same record as the first place team in the AFC West!

;) it was a bit ugly but i'll take this win for sure. The D did a good job holding down the denver running game and the secondary was alright but some of that was on denvers offense miscues.

The Panthers beat the Cowboys in the playoffs in 96. I should know since I was there.

Bill was referring to the NFC wild-card game Dallas won to set up the Carolina game- 40-15 over the Vikings on December 28, 1996.

The Carolina/Dallas divisional playoff game was on January 5, 1997.

Oops, you're right.

LOL!!! You all have to excuse me, but I've been screwed up ALL day with this time change. :D
