Tara Wants Former WWE Diva In TNA
– Jillian Hall stated in her newly released shoot interview with RF Video that while she has had no official discussions with TNA Wrestling officials, Tara had been persuading her to join the Orlando based organization. Hall, however, does not feel she is in shape to continue wrestling full-time since she gained a lot of weight due to her pregnancy last year.
Bobby Roode Says His Dream is to Face Sting
The UK Sun has a new article online today featuring quotes from TNA Champion Bobby Roode to promote the company’s upcoming UK tour. Roode reveals his dream is to face Sting for the title. Below is an excerpt:“I’ll defend my belt against anyone who comes after it but my dream is to battle Sting.“He’s been a real thorn in my side so it would be great to beat him up all over the UK.“It’s his first trip there in a decade, which makes the thought of pinning his shoulders to the mat even more appealing.”

Injured TNA Star Returning, Possible Knockouts Spoiler, Angle
- Kurt Angle’s wife Giovanna wrote on Twitter yesterday that Kurt was scheduled for an “important meeting” for a new project in 2012.
- Injured TNA star Alex Shelley will be returning to action after the Genesis pay-per-view as he is being advertised for next weekend’s live events. Shelley is booked for X Division Title matches against champion Austin Aries and Jesse Sorensen.
TNA is also advertising Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title, which could suggest that Gail retains the belt against Mickie James at Sunday’s Genesis pay-per-view.

Hulk Hogan Returning at Against All Odds?, Celebrities at TNA Genesis
- Rap star Rick Ross was backstage visiting at last night’s TNA Genesis pay-per-view and was shown during the show at ringside watching the matches.
- Celebrity chef Robert Irvine was also shown in the crowd. He is engaged to Knockouts Champion Gail Kim.
- TNA’s next pay-per-view Against All Odds will take place on Sunday, February 12th. It’s interesting to note that Hulk Hogan, who has not appeared in the storyline in some time, is being advertised for Against All Odds.

TNA News: Impact Wrestling taping cancellation
Universal Studios has removed the January 16-17 TNA Impact Wrestling tapings from their schedule. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]Powell's POV: One can only assume that this is due to the fact that the company recently announced that they will be taping television London on January 28. There appears to be a one week void for the January 26 Impact Wrestling television show, but perhaps the company intends to tape three weeks of television at the tapings that are taking place in Orlando this week.
TNA TAPING IMPACT THIS WEEK, WHY TNA GERMANY TOUR WAS CANCELED
TNA will be taping Impact Wrestling tonight and tomorrow in Orlando, FL at the Impact Zone.
Shooter Promotions, the local promoters for the now canceled TNA Germany dates later this month, sent out a statement, which translated to English, reads: "Due to the unexpectedly poor clearance sales, the planned three TNA Wrestling shows are canceled. The already purchased tickets can be returned to the respective box offices." So, it was low advance ticket sales that caused the dates to be yanked.

TNA News: Spike TV cameras will be in two other tour stops in England
TNA president Dixie Carter announced that Spike TV and Challenge cameras will be in Manchester on January 26 and Nottingham on January 27 to tape footage for Impact and Xplosion. Follow her on Twitter at Twitter.com/TNADixie.Powell's POV: It's unclear whether they are holding full tapings in those cities or just filming some clips that will air on their shows. My guess is the latter based on the wording, but we do know that TNA is taping Impact in London on January 28.
TNA News: Hulk Hogan's dentist left a tack in his mouth
TNA star Hulk Hogan is having serious dental issues. He told TMZ that he had dental surgery in October and had a donor bone inserted in his mouth to support a dental implant. He had issues following procedures and eventually had a CAT scan that revealed a dentist left a metal tack in his mouth. "They had to drill a f---ing hole in my face," Hogan said. Dixie Carter On Her Relationship With Hogan, Sting’s Retirement
During an interview with the UK’s Daily Star magazine to promote TNA’s upcoming Impact Taping from the Wembley Arena later this month, TNA President Dixie Carter revealed some interesting details on her relationship with Hulk Hogan and Sting’s plans for retirement this year. Here are some highlights of what Dixie said about:Sting Retiring This Year & His Final UK Appearance:“In his mind, I think this is his last year as far as the wrestling is concerned. When we booked this, that’s the way he was talking about it – ‘I haven’t played there in a decade, and before I retire I need to come back there and wrestle.’ Based on where he’s at and what he’s saying, barring something extraordinary this is the last time.”“And for me it’s great to be able to bring him back there. He’s spent such a big part of his career helping to build our company, I’m very proud we can bring him over. It feels very final. Sting Joins Twitter, Hulk Hogan Confirmed For TNA’s UK Tour
– Sting is now on Twitter at twitter.com/sting. The account has been confirmed by TNA Wrestling president Dixie Carter. “The Icon” says she encouraged him to get on the website.
Sting writes, “Hello Fans – I’m finally on Twitter! Plenty of news coming soon about IMPACT, my website and more. I’ll try to post as my schedule permits! I appreciate the quick and positive feed back from all! Finally coming out of the dark ages! I think it is only fitting to give a public “Thank You” to Dixie Carter. - Mr. Anderson has been out of the TNA storylines because creative reportedly has nothing for him. Anderson hasn’t appeared on Impact Wrestling since late November.

Mr. Anderson & RVD Returning To The Ring, Rosita & Sarita To Team
Mr. Anderson, who has not appeared for TNA Wrestling since the November 15, 2011 Impact Wrestling taping, is scheduled to return to the ring at this week’s Impact Wrestling World Tour in Worcester, Plymouth and Lowell, Massachusetts. He will be teaming with Rob Van Dam (who was stretchered backstage two weeks ago at Genesis after taking a DDT onto the concrete floor) at all three shows in matches against Mexican America members Anarquia and Hernandez.Mexican America members Rosita and Sarita are also advertised to team, which they rarely do at house shows. They will be facing Brooke Tessmacher and ODB at all three events.

Other matches scheduled include:

* “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy vs Christopher Daniels

* Jesse Sorensen vs Kid Kash vs Shannon Moore

Ric Flair Pulled From TNA Event?
Thanks to Brian Austin for sending this in:I saw your post noting that RVD and Mr. Anderson are added have been added to the TNA events in Massachusetts. I’m going to one of the shows and noticed TNA is no longer advertising Ric Flair for the Plymouth event. He was supposed to be there, (not advertised for Worcester or Lowell) for a meet-and-greet, but is no longer on the poster or advertisements for the show. Just thought it was interesting timing with the WWE HOF announcement.

- Word going around is that Ric Flair has signed a major business deal that has nothing to do with pro wrestling.
Will TNA Sue WWE for Using Ric Flair at the Hall of Fame?
- The argument could be made that TNA has the legal right to sue WWE since they are using a contracted TNA performer to draw ticket sales and DVD sales for the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame with Ric Flair being inducted with The Four Horsemen.No word yet if TNA will pursue any kind of action against WWE but as of earlier this week, they had not made any decision. It’s possible TNA could work out a deal where WWE would pay them a settlement for their usage of Flair.
Early Word on TNA Genesis PPV Buys, Plans for Impact Tapings and More
- Eric Bischoff’s Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment has a new sitcom that has been picked up by Nick At Nite. “Daddy’s Home” will star actor Scott Baio.
- TNA has confirmed that Sting, Kurt Angle and Huk Hogan will be appearing at all of the England live events later this month.
- After the Impact Wrestling tapings in London later this month, TNA has no plans to tape on the road at least through the end of May.
- Early numbers indicate that TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view did slightly better buys than other recent TNA events. Genesis looks to have done around 10-12,000 buys this year.

- TNA star Mr. Anderson returned to the ring at Friday’s live event in Worcester, Massachusetts. Anderson teamed with Rob Van Dam to defeat Mexican America. As you can see in the video below, he returned sporting a new look:Garett Bischoff was also back in action at the live event, losing to Robbie E. Another star who hasn’t appeared on Impact regularly that worked the live event is Shannon Moore. He defeated Kid Kash and Jesse Sorensen in a three-way.

TNA Star Welcomes Child, Impact Rating, Hogan Appears at Non-TNA Event
- Hulk Hogan appeared at a Micro Championship Wrestling event on Thursday night i El Paso Texas with The Nasty Boys and Brutus “The Barber Beefcake.” The video we posted earlier of Hogan at a bar was after the show.
- TNA star James Storm welcomed a new baby boy early Friday morning. Mason James Cox was born at 4:42am.
- The January 19th episode of TNA Impact Wrestling scored a 1.20 cable rating. Hour 1 did a 1.20 rating while hour 2 did a 1.19 rating. This week’s show averaged 1.68 million viewers.
Brutus Beefcake Says TNA Doesn’t Want To Win & Responds To Linda’s “Gay” Allegations
Former WWE & WCW wrestler Brutus Beefcake was interviewed by Daniel Donnelly of Imetawrestler.com this week and had some very interesting comments to say about Hulk Hogan’s feelings about TNA (and TNA “not wanting to win”), Linda Hogan’s allegations that he and Hulk had a homosexual relationship, whether he expects to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and more. Here are some highlights of what Beefcake said about:Hulk’s feelings about TNA: “He was trying to help them. In my opinion, they seemed to want to make a difference at first, but then it seemed like they just didn’t want to win. Hulk’s a guy who wants to make a difference and wants to win, you know? And once he realized that they didn’t want to win, and all they want to do is make an event and have a little piece of the little corner of the market and be satisfied with that, he’s just had to say, ‘Okay, if that’s what you want then that’s what you’re gonna get.’ It doesn’t look good, but I wish him the best.”Differences between today’s wrestlers and his generation: “It’s more like an assembly line, they’re turning out wrestlers like rubber stamps out of a mold, and that’s not how we were all made. It just made that difference. People had their own personalities, guys were able to differentiate, and everybody was their own person. Scripts weren’t handed out before the shows, people weren’t told what to say, told what to do, told how to wrestle, told how to talk, told how to walk, told what they were supposed to look like and how to comb their hair. There was none of that. Everyone was an individual, everyone was drawing on their own personal skills and knowledge, and everything was genuine.”
Linda’s allegations: “It’s really sad. I’ve known Linda a long time and it’s really sad. You know, I’m not a hater, Hulk’s not a hater, he doesn’t hate his ex-wife. He wants to move on with his life, and for her to come forward with these ridiculous allegations that he had beat her up and things like that, you know, after several years of the divorce and all the trials and the transcripts, there’s never been a mention of anything. There’s never been a phone call to the police, never been a report of a bruise or anything, and for her to come forward now and say that he abused her, and then to come forward and say that he was a homo with his best friend Brutus who he grew up with, is so ridiculous. Anyone who knows us, knows that it’s so ridiculous that it’s not even remotely believable. It’s such a shame that she had to stoop, she got money and she should just go away.”Could Brutus be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year? “I hope so. I’m not really sure why Vince hasn’t done it. They’ve called me for different things beyond the internet, for their Wrestlemania, they’ve put me in their magazines, so I’m not really sure what problems may be between us. But you know, he’s always taken back everybody else whose really done some dastardly things to him, and I can’t understand for the life of me why he wouldn’t wanna put me in the Hall of Fame.”Working out over the years: “I started working out nearly forty years ago with The Hulkster down in Florida, back when I was a teenager. Hulk and I have been training together throughout all these years… and that discipline of steel, you might call it, meant we always made it to the gym. We put the gym first, before going to the bar, before going out, chasing girls or any of that stuff. We always put that time in the gym first.”
