Big Bang Theory discussion

So they named Stage 25 The Big Bang Theory Stage. They now set up 4 of the characters to have families. Could we see a new series in a year or 2 with Leonard & Penny, Howard and Bernadette as parents.

There's no doubt in my mind there will be more adventures for some of these characters (not counting Young Sheldon), whether 2 years from now or 20 years from now who knows. There is no creativity left in Hollyweird, the majority of TV and movies these days fall into one or more of the following categories:

1) Sequels
2) Prequels
3) Reboots/Remakes
4) Continuations
5) Spinoffs
6) TV shows based on movies
7) Movies based on TV shows
8) Superheros

And as I said a few years ago in this thread, the vast majority of the main cast and secondary characters will never have another successful role. And it was Jim Parson's who wanted to end the show, all of the others would have been glad to keep milking this gravy train. I'm actually very surprised they didn't try to pull a Golden Palace. Main character of a show exits, get the remaining cast together and just rebrand it and pick up where you left off.

I would love to see Stewart get a bigger role in a spin off show. That character was greatly underused. So was Roj to an extent.

Rog and Stewart open up a Book store (with comics as well) ...
Rog evolves, finds he can talk to Married and taken women only ...

Stewart just talks ....

I have to agree, the show's dynamics did change when they had all the guys pairing up with women. But fortunately I liked it both before and after that happened. Yes it was a different show, but still good.
It’s called growing up and growing into being well rounded adults. Did people think they would never do that after 12 years? I think the show simulated exactly what would happen as the young men met women to date and love and marry and as Howard ,Bernadette found out having children and now Penny and Leonard are expecting one as well. The last 5 minutes of the speech by Sheldon showed that he finally recognized his family and friends contributions to his life and to his successes. He grew up. It was very heart warming and a touching way to wrap it all up. I will miss this show.

Some shows Don't show the people growing thruout the show, this one obviously did and it was better overall for it ...
As for Sheldon ... its about time he acknowleged the others.

I'd like to see the next 5-6 episodes after that to see if it truely did change Sheldon, then again, we wouldn't recognize Sheldon.

As to speculation about the future, look for a sort of "Seinfeld Curse". Fact is most actors in long running sit-coms become typecast as their character, and it is more often than not they never strike gold, or even brass, again.

According to this article, it doesn't appear that any of them will be lacking for work. They're all talented actors that have worked on a number of unrelated productions during their time on BBT.
yes and no.

Some might, some won't. It'll be like when Friends ended. Most of them never really found anything that lasted.

Galecki can just slip into the Conners, but it's not quiet so easy for the others after doing such a long running show.

It looks to me like none of them will be bored...

During and after the 12 year run of BBT:

Jim Parsons has produced or directed a number of projects, and has Young Sheldon paying his bills plus a Netflix movie in pre-production.

Johnny Galecki has appeared in several other productions, and yes, could likely move right into the Conners if he wanted to.

Kaley Cuaco has appeared in a number of TV movies, shorts, commercials, and at least one other TV series, and currently has a TV movie and a series in the works.

Simon Helberg has done many voice over gigs and some appearances on other productions.

Kunal Nayyar has also done many voice over projects and appearances and has three projects currently in pre or post-production.

Dr. Mayim Bialik has appeared in a number of other TV series and could fall back on her training as a neuroscientist if needed.

Chuck Lorre is also known to reuse former cast members in other projects. Don't be surprised to see a few of them pop on other sitcoms.

Well this is humorous. The few things Cuoco has lined up for the future comes courtesy of her own production company that she started. So I guess that's where she invested her BBT salary. Wise business decision, so I have to give it to her for that. She knows her work outside of Big Bang Theory has been a failure, she knows there's no demand for her, so she gave herself a job.

Kaley Cuoco Forced Into Producing to Cast Herself in Roles Following 'The Big Bang Theory?'

With all of the scumbags and womanizers in the sinful cesspool of Hollyweird, I would have thought the one with the most sex appeal would have the brightest future for the next handful of year at least. I guess I was wrong.
