The AL West 2009

This will be a defining week. We play the Yankees and Red Sox this week. Both road series for us.

Yankees are on a roll. (Whatever happened to all those cries to fire Girardi and how bad the Yanks are now?) They might be a problem,

Boston on the other hand is in a bit of a flux at the moment and you guys are still hot as hell.

What a pitching duel in Comerica last night! The Tigers' mighty "V" going against a bloody-nosed, COMPLETELY FOCUSED Santana. I did not expect the Angels to win going into the game but once Verlander was pulled it became easy pickins.

We stole one from ya, Paul!:yes

That was a rare highly entertaining pitching duel. Oneof the highlights for me was when Morales ran across the infield to run down the Detroit runner at third, obviously trying to preserve Santana's shutout. This whole game was just great. Today we put Kelvim on and hopefully he bucks the trend of returning pitchers for us. Will Vlad come back to HR club today? Vlad watch is in full session.

Another fine game pitched in Comerica last night! Kelvim did everything we could have asked for man who hasn't pitched since '07. Yes, they lost...but so did Texas!

Ah...maybe ... just maybe the pitching carousel is slowing down as Summer nears and we can just relax and PLAY!:D:D

The Angels finally have their starting five: Escobar, John Lackey, Jered Weaver, Ervin Santana and Joe Saunders.

With Interleague Play coming up against the easy NL West- IMO, outside of the Dodgers, those teams are a cakewalk- this could be the tonic the Halos need.

Behind closed doors the Angels are beginning to unravel. Big John Lackey was not at all happy about his loss last night and very vocal about it. To the press, John was non-direct in his accusations, but he showed that the team is not in a good place. Big Mike is now beginning to speak in tongues publicly about "turning this around". You can just tell things are not well at all in the clubhouse.

OH...how a year changes everything!:(

The Mariners are now back to 500 and tied with the Angels at 4.5 games back of the Rangers. Yeah I know they are underdogs but this is the most joy we've had in Mudville in a very long time.

Right now the AL West is anyone's for the taking. Even Oakland is looking good. Well, I asked for someone to challenge the Angels and I got my wish!

Another night....another Halo loss...another stern lecture from Big Mike.

If the NL West shows the Angels up this next edition of Interleague Play, look for many changes in the Angels' lineup. Too many good bats wasting in AAA.

Sounds like nobody is listening.
