I guess those encoders are installed and ready.
Bring it on Charlie!!!!
Enjoy the obscene bit rates for MPEG4.... 9477 - WSPOR is getting a whopping 17mbps. Would that be 34mbps in MPEG2 talk?
In all seriousness, I always noticed poor quality when watching Spanish soccer and didn't know if it was a Dish issue, i.e. lack of bandwidth for that channel vs too much "action", or simply the quality of the original source video. Any ideas (anyone) ?? It was about all I watched on that channel so I can't compare to other events....Enjoy the obscene bit rates for MPEG4.... 9477 - WSPOR is getting a whopping 17mbps.
Which 3 Voom's went MPEG4 today?

Looks like they have started the VOOM MPEG4 conversion with the least watched channels.
Part of it is that European HD is run at 50hz instead of 60hz and needs to be converted. This results in a slight ghosting effect. It is not the sole cause of the poor quality. Don't forget La Liga starts this weekend.
Where is NHL Network HD?
Click the link right above where I said 3 Vooms converted.
Thanks guys. Wonder what Rave will look like when it gets converted?
