Tonight is the debut of Thursday night NFL Football and also the long anticipated debut of Cleveland Browns' prized '07 draft pick, Brady Quinn! Hurray! :D

This is a huge game for two teams playing on short rest and coming off disappointing losses on their home fields. The Broncos remain atop the weak AFC West, and the Browns, teetering on the brink, simply can't afford another loss (especially at Browns Stadium).

With the Brady Quinn era under way in Cleveland, offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski must take advantage of a faltering Denver run defense to place Quinn in the best position to make plays in the passing game. The Broncos hope to get their offense back on track against a suspect Browns secondary. The third phase could be critical to the outcome of this game.

I'm predicting a high scoring affair that puts the Big 12 to shame.

Let the tailgating begin!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I may not have a horse in this race, but I'm looking forward to the debut of Thursday Night Football (3 weeks earlier this year :up), as well as the much anticipated debut of Brady Quinn.

PREDICTION: Browns 34, Broncos 23

There is a version of this song on the local radio stations with revised lyrics to the 1967 song written by Bob Dylan. (Recorded by Manfred Mann)

Upon searching the origins of this appropriately titled song, which holds strange relevance to the new Cleveland Browns QB, I came up with this.....

From Wiki:

"Quinn the Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)" is a 1967 folk-rock song written and first recorded by Bob Dylan.

The song is a tale with vaguely psychedelic lyrics. The subject of the song is the arrival of the mighty Quinn (an eskimo), who changes despair into joy and chaos into rest, and attracts attention from the animals. The metaphorical lyrics have prompted suggestions that Quinn is God, a drug dealer, or simply a village elder.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::D:D:D

HD MM's interpretation:

"Arrival of the mighty Quinn" (as in Brady?)
"changes despair into joy" (Turns losing franchise back into a winner?)
"attracts attention from the animals" (as in attracting the harsh criticism away from the Cleveland Dawgs?)
"Quinn is a god" (My God, what the hell does Cleveland have here!?)

When I think of Brady Quinn and songs, I think of the running gag on 'Mike and Mike in the Morning' where, when one of the Mikes mentions Brady Quinn, the Enrique Iglesias song 'Hero' plays.

"I can be your hero baby!!!!!!!!!!!"

"C'mon without, c'mon within, you'll not see nothin' like the Mighty Quinn" !!!!!

Denver MISSES an easy field goal?!

That goes to show just how valuable Jason Elam was! Denver field goals once were an automatic lock with Mr. Elam.

Brady Quinn @ 4 years old

For those of you who remember watching the 2007 NFL draft, and as Brady Quinn slipped further in that draft, ESPN kept flashing this image of little Brady.

The native Ohioan always dreamed of playing for his favorite team, the Cleveland Browns. Then, in an unprecedented event, the Browns found a way to trade back into the first round to take Quinn with the 22nd pick. (Remember previously, they passed up on Quinn to take OT, Joe Thomas with the 3rd pick). Needless to say, all was forgiven when the Browns got back into the first round to select their long lost son. That day was one of my most memorable days as a Browns fan. This was a sign of things to come. Finally a franchise QB, I thought. The last QB drafted by the Browns that wanted to come to Cleveland was Bernie Kosar.

Congratulations on your first start Brady. And welcome home!
