Syracuse is weird in the BE Tournament. I THINK every year that they have one it, in the NCAAs, it was one and done. They year the won their NC, they were bounced in the 1st game in the BE tourney.
VA Tech will need two wins, but Maryland will need three. Neither will happen.
I'm stuck being a Maryland fan by virtue of geography, but putting them in the tournament this yeat would be a waste of a slot. They can upset anybody in one game by pressing, but they can't win that way two or three times in a row against larger and more talented opponents.

BTW, how much closer is Hansbrough to the all-time ACC scoring record?
Does he have to get it in the ACC Tournament, or will the NCAA tournament count towards that?
I'll predict he breaks the record in the ACC semifinals; he'll get 15-20 points per game, IMO.
Your math is off. Since UNC gets a first round bye in the ACC tournament, Tyler would need to average 26.5 points to get the record by the ACC semis. He would need to average 17.7 to get the record in either the ACC finals or first round of the NCAA tourny if UNC loses in the semis. Basically 3 more games.
With today's win, Carolina has now won 6 of 7 from the dook*ies. MMMMMMMMMM...that smells so good....
I can't believe I got all worked up about Lawson possibly not playing. With Jordan in the house there's no way you could tap out of this game! And then Lawson nearly get a triple double! Who for CBS was putting out that story that Lawson was doubtful today, Dan Rather? They wish he was doubtful.
I do believe he is hurt but toughed it out. After the game he was seen limping and grimacing as he slowly walked down the tunnel and toward the locker room with his right shoe off.
That's OK we don't play again until Fri. There was NO WAY he could miss another dook game! Lawson had choice to be a man or a bitch today. He was a man!
