Why do I get the feeling that the NCAA Tournament is going to be loaded with upsets?
I'm going out on a limb here - Because there are tons of upsets EVERY year?

Now you're slobbering all over Pitt too? I expected better of you Sabres.
Nothing on the big UConn win
Dook is # 1 now. I can hear Dookie V from here
Nothing on the big UConn win?
Sigh, Dook is # 1 now. I can hear Dookie V from here...
VT is a good team. They beat Miami on the road last night. And Wake should beat dook this week.Blame Wake Forest for grossly underestimating VaTech, not Duke for doing what they HAD to do.
Let me guess- Pittsburgh plays Connenecticut?
Ha ha. Gotta get up early to beat me.DAMMIT!
Anders beat me to the Alabama firing.
Anyway, long story short- amazing he lasted that long, considering they weren't that great, other than a fluky run to the Elite 8 in 2004.
For all the BS that SEC fans talk during football season, and all the crap that the ACC has to deal with, it's nice to see the ACC dominating in basketball and the SEC embarassing themselves.
Yeah, but look at them now. They lost all their players off those NC teams and now they are barely ranked. UNC lost everyone off the 05 NC team and Roy went out and signed a monster recruiting class. Kansas lost everyone from last year and they are OK now but they will be great again next year. UConn loses lots of guys and Jim Calhoun goes out and gets more great players.Hard to believe that Florida, just a few years ago, won back-to-back titles.
I think if you're one the top teams you get to play as close to home as possible. Carolina's been fortunate to be a #1 seed lots of times so they get to play in the east. UCLA usually gets to play in the west. Nowadays the NCAA tries to put the top 4 seeds in each region close to home in the early rounds.Anders, I know this is jumping the gun, but do you have any idea how they determine which team is in which region for the NCAA Tournament?
I ask this because I wonder how often North Carolina made it to the Final Four when they were not placed in the East Region, or as I like to call it, the homestate region.
It seems as if UNC always has their first and second round games in their home state.
You didn't even respond to when I laid out the gauntlet. I would have given the win more credit had:
1. You posted something
2. I wasn't watching the SuperSkills competition
Blame Wake Forest for grossly underestimating VaTech, not Duke for doing what they HAD to do.
Yet another #1 goes down.
Let me make a prediction- the next #1 will be the University of Oklahoma, who will promptly lose to Texas A&M next week and then the cycle continues.
(Hancox can argue until his face turns blue, but OU is playing very good basketball)
Oh, and Wake has a pretty easy schedule from here on- Georgia Tech, Miami, Boston College, NC State, Florida State.
