dook still sucks and will probably lose next week at Wake, but in the event that they are #1 it will only make it that much sweeter when we beat them in Cameron....again.
That game loses a bit of credibility in my eyes after the Spartans laid in egg against freaking Northwestern.
Michigan St was on a roll coming in. They had won 11 in a row since the loss to UNC. It may be the case that Northwestern is actually not terrible. They beat Minnesota over the weekend and nearly beat Purdue. It always amazed me how bad they were in the Big Ten considering there usually aren't many great teams in that conference. I mean they do OK in football.

After two decades, I think it's time to declare that the Wildcats are now the "other team" in the desert.
ASU is now THE college hoops in that state.
The glory days have been long gone for the Cats- they've UNLV in the "once-mighty, now past their prime" category.

I know some anti-Herb Sendek NC State fans who would be rolling over in their graves (if they were dead) to hear this.
It's more possible that they both suck. Call me an east-coast bias guy, but the Pac10 is perenially overrated.

(VaTech was six games over .500 when they beat Wake; Setom Hall, OTOH, was 9-9.)

Losses like that are killers in the Big East. You cannot afford to lose to Seton Hall or St. John's.
