I have ALWAYS.....repeat ALWAYS stated is that the end result....the score, means NOTHING. What I have always looked for in pre-season games was that there were improvements from my teams 1st team on a weekly basis, both offense and defense and pray there is no injuries....NOTHING MORE. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

There was never a story, you're the only one arguing, so if you want it to stop then stop replying.

Unlike last year, I am VERY encouraged and hopeful for the Bills' chances this season.

No more weak-armed wimp Trent Edwards. Ryan Fitzpatrick, our first REAL passing QB since Bledsoe. Stevie Johnson, a dangerous WR/TD threat. The progression of Fred Jackson. An offense that erupted at times last year.

Buffalo ain't gonna be an easy win for opponents this year.

It sure seemed easy last Saturday.

They weren't even close to the "lowly" Broncos.

Couldn't even score on that awful Broncos defense. And I'm talking 1st team. Your 3rd and 4th stringers looked better than ours.....

Bragging about preseason?

Tell that to the Patriots (30 points scored at Foxboro), Ravens (34 points, over 500 yards in offense, a 382 yard/4 TD passing explosion from Fitzpatrick), Chiefs (took them to the limit at Arrowhead), and Bengals (Outscored them 42-3 after falling behind 28-7), and Browns (Kept Hillis out of end zone).

Payback will be coming Christmas Eve at Orchard Park.

WOW! How many preseason games have the Bills played? That's more than 2! :p

And the Bills offense even brought out some fancy plays those first 2 drives last week.

Not bragging, just teasing... you are always so negative about Denver I just thought I'd point out the obvious... "my 4-12 team beat up your 4-12 team...so there!"

Raiders got some good news with the return of Trevor Scott, who was lost last year due to an ACL. Rumor is that Pryor will be signed by the end of the day.

I like your optimism, but I'm sorry Sabres, I just don't see it.

A 12 loss team a year ago, the Bills did nothing to get better. Sure, natural progression might improve them some. But with a weak free agency and several playmakers lost, I just don't see what they did to get better.

Plus, the Bills have the second toughest schedule in the league this year. That can't be a good thing.

Dalton for the Bengals looked pretty good last night.

Watched the Brown/Iggles game last night. A few observations:

- With that porous offensive line, there's no way Vick stays healthy beyond the bye week. He was on the run every single play.

- The roughing hit on Vick was complete BS and changed the tempo of the game. If this was called during the regular season, I'd be pissed. Take a look at all the Vick hits. The last one was the phantom roughing call. Still have no idea what the ref saw. Looked clean to me....

That roughing call was bogus. I didn't see anything wrong with it.

It's the exact same thing Harrison got a flag and fined for hitting a QB last year, cant remember which one, he left his feet and planted him in the ground like a pro wrestling move.

It was terrible call....! If anything, in the highlights, when Vick got hit earlier and tackled after a pass and smacked in the head, that could have been called but they didn't.... Could that terrible call might have been a make-up call after the Eagles sideline/coaches complained?

Edit: look around the 35 second mark, that might have been called a blow to the head....

Let the jousting begin! LOL!

Vontae Davis: NFL’s best cornerbacks are in Miami

Posted by Michael David Smith on August 26, 2011, 9:49 AM EDT

Which NFL team has the best cornerbacks? You might say it’s the Jets, with Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie. Or the Eagles, with Nnamdi Asomugha, Asante Samuel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

But in the admittedly biased view of Miami’s Vontae Davis, the best pair of cornerbacks in football are himself and Sean Smith.

“I’m going to go out on a limb and say we’re the best tandem in the league,” Davis said.

Davis was asked whether he could really put himself and Smith ahead of Revis and Cromartie, and he insisted that he could.

“You name them all and I’m putting it out there,” Davis said.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano supported his player’s brash talk.

“I like to hear it,” Sparano said. “I think they need to play with swagger. They need to play with confidence and those two guys have confidence. Time will tell at the end of this thing whether or not they are ?but I’d take them.”
