I am willing to take a chance on him. As a 3rd round pick, it is not much of a risk.

When you have no 2nd or 4th round picks, it's certainly a bigger risk for Oakland than for most teams. With only 1 pick in the first 2 days of the draft, and then only 3 more on day 3, it will be interesting to see if they can do anything about that. They might get a couple compensatory picks as early as the end of the 3rd round, but those can't be traded.

I am pretty sure all of that was taken into consideration. I am under the assumption they know they will be getting at least 2 compensatory picks for losing 3 free agents.

More injury news...as if my Raiders needed MORE bad news:(

From Silver and Black Pride:

Quentin Groves is likely done for the season. Travis Goethel has a tear in his knee. Levi Damien of Thoughts from the Darkside tweeted the dark news.

This is a huge blow to a frighteningly thin linebacker corps. Goethel was not just the man pegged to start at weakside, but he was also the backup middle linebacker. The Raiders will undoubtedly have to hit the waiver wire and readdress Lofa Tatupu. This also may open the door for the return of Kirk Morrison.

Yeah, Millen was an a-hole. But that's all in the past. Looking forward to this Saturday's games against the pats(also sold out). I don't expect them to win, but I do expect them to play a good game. But if the Pats whip their butts, well, that would just suck (even though it's only preseason)

I don't care what the final outcome is score wise in the Pre Season, however, I will watch the 1st half or however long the Starters play, hopefully they pull them at the same time.
Then watching the back us and those fighting for a job is always interesting.

Cleveland @ Philly tonight!

Looking forward to the continued progression of Colt McCoy and company along with NO injuries for tonight's game!

And the progression and the hope for no injuries is you should want....

Everything else means nothing in the grand scheme of the season.

Finally we agree...

There is an old axiom in baseball...don't believe what you see in April or September. For the NFL, don't believe what you see in August.
