2011-12 NFL Season

I think that thanks to the lockout, this is the first preseason(in a while) where people are looking forward to watching exhibition games. Has the NFL ever thought about having a central office or location in NFL Headquarters that would review all challenged plays instead of that black box on the sidelines that the Ref is suppose to use? I know the CFL does that.

SO if Maurice Jones-Drew aint playing NOW, after months of resting his body and not doing much of anything, how come no one is question his manhood for not playing now?

So are you guys watching pre-season football?

I heard a great analogy today...pre-season football is like non-alcoholic beer. It looks the same, it tastes pretty much the same...and in the NFL's case at least, it costs the same...but it's not the same.

There is something very important missing.

Yeah, watching all I can, even paid $20 to NFL.com so i can watch what I want rather than what's on locally/NFLN live.

Liking the reviews on scoring plays, and not a fan of the kickoff rules but didn't really care, the haters of that rule have to also hate that there was a kickoff return for a TD yesterday.

Preseason football is like an appetizer. It whet's your palate for the main course.

It's like being a kid and being able to open just one present before Christmas morning. Sure, you know all the good presents will come on Christmas, but it's something to get you excited and something to hold you over until that special day.

DAMN...that's IT??!! Wow....again....

A move like this is another reason why the Bills have been bad for so long.

As far as a AFC North fan, I'm now pooing my pants in having to face Anquan Boldin and Lee Evans twice a year!! Ugh!

There were 16 touchbacks and 35 returns yesterday, one for a TD. This is about double the normal rate of touchbacks, but those who say the return game is gone are exaggerating if this pace of almost 70% of kickoffs being returned continues.

Couldn't have said it any better!! :up

Hoyer >> Kolb

Hopefully we can get someone as desperate as Arizona to pony up this offseason.

I agree, and Hoyer may become expendable with the addition of Ryan Mallet. The Pats depth is extraordinary on both sides of the ball, but especially at WR. With Welker/Ochocinco/Branch/Edelman/Tate/Price/Slater, they go seven deep. Obviously they won't keep 7, but will they keep 6? IMO, Slater and Tate are probably out of here.
