Ok, back to the game. Wayyyy too many penalties. The zebras really need to swallow their whistles. They ruined the ebb and flow of a very intense game early on. And the "helmet to helmet" call on Urlacher was bogus. Overall though, I like what I see from the Lions. On BOTH sides of the ball. Dominating line, great pass rush, adequate rushing attack, a QB that can make every throw in the game and an absolute STUD wide receiver. Of all the surprise teams, the Lions are THE most complete team!

The Dolphins, going into this weekends game against the JETS, will have their 17th different QB since Marino....wow!
yeah wow indeed. thats what we get for thinking marino would last forever
greenbay did the right thing. and now possibly the colts will do the same. you have to get ready for the future.

Anyway, contrats to the Lions for extending their record to 5-0. Ugly game - great result!

I am trying to keep from getting to excited right now but it is very very hard. All I will say right now is damn the Lions have looked good this year so far.

Rey, at least you remember a good QB in your time. I think a lot of us are spoiled by the abundence of really good QB's out there as of recent. In the grande scheme of things, a truly great QB like Marino may only come once in a generation. The last time the Browns had a REALLY good QB, it was Otto Graham back in 1946! That's like 2 or 3 generations ago!! Lol!!

yeah i hear ya. although i would've taken kosar or vinny any day compared to the garbage that has come through since danny retired

Because with orton they were within 3 points of winning. I think Tebow is a way better QB then Orton so the score should be much more in favor of Denver.
Give a decent NFL defense (and I put Oakland in that category) a couple of weeks to gameplan against Tebow, and he'll be spending a lot of time picking himself up from being sacked, or picking himself up after being picked off.

The Bears just don't know how to play defense or even snap the ball correctly. Seriously, they got 9 false starts in that game. How crazy is that? Also they just couldn't deal with Suh and that Lions front four either. Anyway it was another good game for the Lions, just thought it would be harder and the score would be closer. Next week they face the 49ers. You would think this would be a 4:05 ET game but it's a 1PM ET game so hopefully the people in San Francisco wake up early enough to watch their 49ers lose.:p:D

Who knew the Lions-Niners would be a week 6 marquee matchup?? Plus, FOX has Dallas at NE, one of the few times each year they get to show the Pats...

When a west coast team travels east, the game should begin at 4PM eastern time. Asking a team to play at 10AM 'their time' is just unfair.

You'd think the NFLPA mighta fought for that, but no...

Because the NFLPA assumed that the league had some common sense.;)

The league is going to schedule to maximize ratings. That's helps both owners AND players make more money. A change like this would have to be collectively bargained.

Even so, 10 AM is too early for a football game to start. Some people will still be half asleep watching it and think the game will be no big deal. Although to be fair, nobody thought the Lions would be 5-0 at this point. (Except for myself.)

Didn't the Seachickens (from Seattle) travel all the way to East Rutherford (New Jersey) to beat the NY Giants this past Sunday at the very early hour of 1pm (10am PST)??
