Here's an odd one for you. A customers Hopper 3 died due to a power outage/surge we think. I made the call to DISH at 6:00 PM the Monday before Thanksgiving to get the Hopper replaced. Because the customer had only had the Hopper for 1 week, I loaned them one of my office Hoppers to use until the replacement arrived (expected 2-3 days).
The replacement was delivered the following morning at 10:00 AM, just 16 hours after speaking to the CSR. The shipping label showed an address in the Carolina's and it was delivered to California. I've never seen a replacement arrive so quickly. I'm not even sure how DISH pulled that off considering the time of day the request was made. Good job on that front nonetheless.
So, the odd thing (might be normal). I returned the following day to swap out the receivers. As I was getting everything all set up, I noticed that all of my Office Hopper settings/timers had automatically loaded into the customer's replacement Hopper. I never backed up my office receiver settings to his remote. Does anyone know if the "settings back-up to remote" feature is automatic? If so, I learn something new every day.
