NFL 2012-13 Season

Obviously, you're not a Detroiter or you would understand this was a championship caliber franchise during the 50s and 60s prior to the William C. Ford family buying the team and running the organization into the dirt. Fans have grown accustomed to supporting a 6-10 team and expecting nothing but pain and bitter disappointment. It's sad...very sad.

Werent the Lions pretty good in the late 80s and early 90s? That had that going for them at least.

I think the NFL needs to get rid of the rule, but the Lions did have plenty of chances to win the game.

I just can't believe Schwartz decided to kick a 47 yard field goal on 3rd down. That is inexcusable an really bad coaching. Also, as bad as that rule is Schwartz should know by now all scoring and plays that result in turnovers are automatically reviewed.

Its a dumb rule. You could see Schwartz mouth "Its my fault" so at least he knew it was his fault. Bottom line is that call made the game 24-21 Lions, so it wasnt just that call that lost the game.

Very appropriate on Thanksgiving: Rexy having himself some pie.........humble pie that is. :)

Jets got humilated on national tv. I believe it was Woody Johnson who requested to put the Jets on Thanksgiving night.

Looks like the league is going to review the play. It was said best yesterday on the half time show, guys like LT, Reggie White they hit hard and played tough but at the end of the game you shook hands and respected the player.....anyone respect suh??

He may have get a one game suspension, but of course just like last season against Green Bay he will say he doesn't remember doing anything

I think Suh is distracting the team. Lions should be better than 4-7.

satjay....I don't respect SUH and I think after all his other suspension he may get a longer suspension  :)

I seriously think the Lions may have to consider trading Suh.

I have to see the play again to see if he hit him on purpose. Wouldnt shock me if he did.

My Raiders have been mediocre at best the last couple of years, but predominatly bad...but they have been able to sellout enough to have their home fans see the last 13 home games. They 'up and coming' Bengals on the other hand...could not sell this game out and therefore local fans will not be able to see it.

The Lions were watchable in the late 80's early 90's, not great, but they had Barry Sanders going for them, he kept it interesting.

Barry Sanders was one of the few NFL players that I'd tune in just to see him. Some of his runs were incredible!

If the Patriots beat Miami next Sunday AND the Bills lose EITHER tomorrow OR next week, the Pats will be AFC East champs.

The last time an AFC East team has ended the season with more wins than the Patriots was 2000 (the Pats lost the division on tiebreakers in 2002 and 2008).

2 things.

1. The Patriots are really good.

2. The division for the most part has stunk. This year and most of the past decade.

*No Brady.

Very true. But it's still quite an accomplishment in an era that rewards futility.

*No Brady.

And yet that team (11-5) still had a better record than the 2002 (9-7) and the 2005 (10-6) squads. I still say the 2008 team, that missed the playoffs, was Belichick's best coaching job........including the Cinderella '01 SB Champs.

They have been bad since the 2003 season.

Yet the last 13 home games, have been viewed by their fans. There was every reason to sell this game..hated Palmer in town, in the playoff hunt...and you don't sell out.

Awful start. ...and Knapp is starting clueless as opposed to gradually being clueless as the game progresses. All the RBs with any speed are out. 3 plays up the middle...17 yards...anything going around the ends, -5 yards. And as usual, clueless secondary on zone defense.

The Bengals may score 100 today.

Speaking of blackouts, I'm watching the Dolphins game and the stadium is half empty. How are these games not blacked out? I'm sorry there's something strange going on, I turned on the Bucs game which is blacked out and there are more fans in the stands there.

I am a little shocked it is being played as well UNLESS the Dolphins ownership bought a lot of tickets and no one showed up.
