Now we get to hear about how the refs screwed over the Lions for the next however many news cycles, ignoring the myriad of other reasons they lost the game.

Well, the Lions once again found a way to lose the game. Curse of Bobby Layne? Well, that particular curse ended 5-years ago. I'm sorry, but it's 40-years past due for someone taking the team away from William C. Ford, the family who have single-handedly killed professional football in Detroit for almost the past 50-years. :(

So you would have said the same thing win or lose? That was a really close game, to go from winning to saying they should change team ownership is a bit extreme.

I like to look to the bigger picture...almost 50-years of futile ownership by the William C. Ford family. Things are not going to change until this team is under new ownership.

Obviously, you're not a Detroiter or you would understand this was a championship caliber franchise during the 50s and 60s prior to the William C. Ford family buying the team and running the organization into the dirt. Fans have grown accustomed to supporting a 6-10 team and expecting nothing but pain and bitter disappointment. It's sad...very sad.

I think the NFL needs to get rid of the rule, but the Lions did have plenty of chances to win the game.

I just can't believe Schwartz decided to kick a 47 yard field goal on 3rd down. That is inexcusable an really bad coaching. Also, as bad as that rule is Schwartz should know by now all scoring and plays that result in turnovers are automatically reviewed.

Fans just like to ignore the improvement since the winless season as an excuse to wallow though.

Nah, they talked about the season they had last year, very good one overall, but the team has been unable to come anywhere close to it this year.
When you have a history of losing for so long, you tend to look at the Big picture ...
Riffjim is correct, they needed new ownership MANY years ago and the team won't win consistently till then.

Jim Schwartz singlehandedly cost the Lions the game. His challenge of a td run that would have been auto reviewed cost the Lions 7 points and,it shifted the momentum hugely towards the Texans. You guys see Gunther Cunningham punt his clipboard?I don't blame him,he has head coaching experience and immediately knew that Schwartz screwed the pooch.

Ahh,being an Eagles fan it's always refreshing to see the Cowboys get beat!

As to the biplanes, err Jets,Rex Ryan probably needs to be packing his bags.

And Suh ads to his classless play kicking the qb yesterday. Tired of his act

Amen satjay and I am tired of his act also and wish the NFL would try and suspend him for a year without pay or kick him out of the league :D ;):)

Looks like the league is going to review the play. It was said best yesterday on the half time show, guys like LT, Reggie White they hit hard and played tough but at the end of the game you shook hands and respected the player.....anyone respect suh??

He may have get a one game suspension, but of course just like last season against Green Bay he will say he doesn't remember doing anything
