NFL 2008-09 Season

"Fat-Tub-of-GOO" does it AGAIN, decent lead and chokes it way. I could almost swear that he is doing this thing on purpose to be the NEXT ex-Raiders head football coach.

San Diego, sorry...like I stated before, Merriman was your rock. They will struggle to make the playoffs.

Denver...HAHA! Forget the loss, ANYONE can beat anyone on any given Sunday.
But you gave up 33 points to THAT OFFENSE?! Yep, their decline will start very soon.....easy part of the schedule is done.

Other observations.....

Buffalo, great job yesterday...you win the games you SHOULD WIN. Now it's time to beat the teams your not suppose to beat.

Washington is really showing me something.....

And so are the Bears, Bucs and Jags.....

There should be some fines and suspension on that hit on Bolden.

Consider Vince Youngs' season done...there is NO WAY you take out Kerry Collins now!

Salsa, you're making a believer out of me. Davis should fire this guy now, and give Kiffin a chance without him. If it remains the same, well goodbye, Lane. Davis is piling it on Kiffin, and I for two, don't see it that way.

Your team is just lucky Palmer was out.:p

I'm not saying a thing. ;)

With that said, we now made it to the bye with a 1-3 (1-2 division record). Playing the Coyboys, Steelers and Ravens Defense was no easy task. The rest of the AFC North has just as tough or even tougher remaining schedule.

It's a long season and anything can happen. The Browns have 2 weeks to get healthy, figure out the QB situation and come on strong for the remaining schedule.

2 weeks? A bye week is only one.

I realize Steeler fans don't believe in calendars and all, but instead rely on sun dials to approximate days of the year, but lemme try and break it down for you...

The Browns last played yesterday (Sunday, September, 28th). Our next game is on Monday October 13th. That's 15 days away, or approximately 2 weeks from today.

Well I didn't know they played Monday night, excuse me for not having the Clowns schedule next to me.

I asked a question that I didn't know, and you came out and gave a nice answer, then you had to edit it to try and make me look stupid.

Yeah we go after each others teams and cities, but I don't go after you.

Do you really think I'm that stupid? First you go after me for bad spelling, when it wasn't spelling it was grammar. Now this.

Trust me I can understand not liking a certain team or city, but that doesn't call for personal attacks.

Yeah I say Clowns fans can't spell dog, but I never say you personally.

HD MM's Monday Morning QB: Week 4 Edition

1. Favre throws for a career-high and team-record 6 TD's. Favre is your undisputed Player of the Week. And for the record, I think we can all start calling Iron Man Favre by his name instead of "YKW" or "F*". For the first time in a while, we're actually talking about Favre's on the field performances and not about him being a former Packer. Show some respect for the man.

2. Browns get their first win against the lowely Palmer-less Bengals! God must be a Browns fan. ;)

3. The KC win snaps their 12-game skid dating back to last year. And never in a million years would I have thought it would've come against the offensive juggernaut Denver Bronco's.

4. The NFC East is the best conferance in Football. Every team is legit in that division. They are the SEC of Pro-Football.

5. What Matt Bryant did in yesterday's Buc's game was unbelievable considering the circumstances. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

6. Brian Westbrook is the best player in Philly. Not McNabb. Without him, the passing game is not nearly as effective.

7. "The Bottle" actually looked pretty decent yesterday in Chicago. More TD's than INT's is considered a successful outing for Orton.

8. With Rodgers going down in Green Bay, I instantly thought of the Madden Curse. Remember, Favre was on the cover wearing a Packer jersey. Soon after the release, he became a NY Jet. This time around, the curse may be against the Packer franchise and not the player!

9. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band is now the confirmed act for this year's Super Bowl halftime show. I can't help but envision Steven Van Zandt's, Silvo character from The Soprano's everytime I see him on stage.

10. Scary hit on Anquan Boldin with time expiring in the Zona/Jets game yesterday. You hate to see stuff like that happen. Hopefully he's ok.

Not meant for a personal insult. It's always meant to be fun and you should know that. We've traded shots back and forth on several occasions. It's always meant in good fun and nothing insulting was intended. If you took it the wrong way, I apologize.

And that should be our motto: "Hate the sin, not the sinner."

Does that mean the NFC West is the ACC of pro football?:D

That's why he's my choice for NFL player of the week.

As a Buckeye fan, I'm sure you remember him from his collegiate days in Purdue. The Boilers were college football's equivalent of what last year's Browns team was.
