NFL 2008-09 Season

62 rushing yards for the Colts?

Peyton Manning saved their butts, plain and simple.

If they make the playoffs, they may be one of the worst teams to make the playoffs- they are the closest thing to a one-man team since the Broncos of John Elway from the mid-80s to mid-90s.

Only against the Raiders can your QB throw 4 ints and you STILL win. Hopefully Delhomme returns to form next week. Fortunately they play the Lions.

It is almost agonizing the way the Chiefs lose games:

Last-minute loss to the Jets

Blow a big lead to the Buccaneers

Today, they score a late touchdown, but miss a two-point conversion in San Diego

The Chiefs have had their hearts broken so many times, it makes you want to cry.

Thoughts on the Late Sunday Games:

1. San Diego will be lucky to win the division, they just don't put people away.

2. The Colts survive again.

3. Others have hit the points in the quality contest between the Panthers and the Raiders. :D

4. Herm Edwards did the right thing in going for 2, what's the difference in a win at this point for them anyway.

The AFC Playoff picture.....if the season ended today:

(1) Tennessee and (2) Pittsburgh would have first round byes.

Wildcard games:

(6) Baltimore at (3) New England
(5) NY Jets at (4) Denver

I would like to see YOUR team be missing your starting QB, best offensive weapon(McFadden) AND the anchor to your offensive line, your center (Jake Grove)...and then try to score points with a limited offensive.

Will the Raiders start Tuiasisopo next week in Miami if JaMarcus is still hurting?

No thanks. I already lived through last season with David Carr.

anders, what do you think Carolina's record will be at the end of the year?

IMO, they could win out every game possibly. Some games look daunting, but winnable. I see them going 11-5 (Giants will be tough, and the Broncos and Saints are capable of winning a shootout).

Maybe, if Arizona wins their division, wins a Wild-Card game... Arizona-Carolina REMATCH in Charlotte?

The Giants outgained the Eagles, 176 yards to 12 in the first quarter, and I picked Philly to win the game!

They won't win them all, especially if Delhomme plays this bad again. I think the rematch with Falcons could be tough. The Panthers also have road games at Green Bay and the Giants. 11-5 sounds about right. I'd like 12-4 better, but we'll see.

John Madden just said that the Giants fullback Madison Hedgecock, from UNC, is a dominant fullback. Keep up the good work Madden. :D

That play where Eli seemed to cross the line of scrimmage only to have it reversed- THEY BLEW THE CALL!!

Once again, the referees aid the G-String men.

A challenge and a bad snap on a punt to aid their wins last week?

HOW LUCKY CAN THOSE DAMN GIANTS GET?!

I don't care what Bill says. I think they play not to win, but to avoid losing.

I have a new perspective towards the Giants- they can run the table the rest of this season and be 15-1 for all I care, but it don't mean a thing if they can't do anything in the playoffs.

Go ahead, Giants- win every game the rest of the way. Let's see what happens when you're the hunted, not the hunter.

I love the Giants now. They play smashmouth football, and Eli is as clutch as they come. The Panthers-Giants in Dec is going to be big. The Panthers better their A game if they want to beat the champs.

This is where I get confused with your hatred of the Giants.

You often post the same thing about the Giants and the postseason.

Hello, didn't they go on a magical run just this last year?
I realize it doesn't mean squat for this year, but doesn't it- at the very least- buy them some credibility heading into the postseason.

If you kept posting that about the Cowboys, I could understand it............but not the Giants!

BTW, I agree that the refs blew that over the line of scrimmage call.

The thing I don't get is the call on the field was that Manning was over the LOS. Doesn't there then have to be INDISPUTABLE evidence when they go to replay to overturn the call on the field?

You can argue (as Michaels and Madden did) if Manning was over the LOS or not, but you CAN'T argue that there was enough indisputable evidence to overturn the call!!!
