NFL 2008-09 Season

Jay Cutler is a BEAST!

With the Chargers underachieving, do not be stunned if they make the playoffs- if he, Royal, and Marshall can know what to do, look out!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!!

4th AND ONE?! NO ONE IN THE BACKFIELD! THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO STOP THE RUN ALL NIGHT!

2 weeks in a row the Browns blew a big lead!

Look on the bright side- your next game is against a Buffalo team with a so-so passing offense. Trent Edwards isn't going to light it up through the air.

I do have a rallying cry for you- REMEMBER THE 1995 LIONS!

They were also a 3-6 team, but won their final seven to make the playoffs!

# 29 was in the backfield originally when the ball was snapped.

What screwed it up was the fact that Winslow didn't catch the ball. Right thru his hands.

Jimbo

2 dropped interceptions by CB, McDonald.
The offensive pass interference by Winslow on 3rd down that negated a first down.
The fumble by Winslow on 3rd down that would've been a first down.

Too many lost opportunities and mistakes in the second half. What a disappointment! :(

Denver, BTW, has four winnable games in a row- Atlanta, Oakland, Jets, Chiefs.

San Diego has to play catch-up now.

Cutler threw for 442. 442! He is crazy good!

You called him overrated in another thread earlier today

I also said he was wildly inconsistent- he can be amazing one game, so-so the next.

Tonight, Dr. Jekyll showed up. Next week, he could possibly turn into Mr. Hyde.

If he turned down the inconsisteincy, then I wouldn't call him overrated.

BTW, since you saw my underrated/overrated thread, care to comment on the other players I mentioned?

The '94 Patriots also started at 3-6, and won their last seven to make the playoffs.

The Pats got beat by Bill Belichick and the Browns in the first round.

THERE IS HOPE, HD! THERE IS HOPE!

Brady Quinn is a very young player like Bledsoe was, and Drew had a monster 1994 season WITHOUT a superstar wideout or running back (Curtis Martin was drafted the next year). All he had was Ben Coates!

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. This season has been such a disappointment. Every game, there's someone new to blame.

Despite the letdown yesterday, I'm trying not to forget about Brady Quinn's great debut. What he showed yesterday was hopefully a sign of things to come. 23 for 35 for 239 yards and 2 TD's. He managed the game well. The entire offense looked in sync with BQ under helm. They committed no false starts or delays of game. BQ also didn't throw any interceptions or take any sacks. His QB rating was 104.3, much higher than Derek Anderson's 68.9 rating.

I really hope BQ turns out to be our franchise QB that the Browns need so badly. The rest of the season will definately be a learning experience though. I really think playoffs are a long shot at this point. Until that time does come though, I will still continue to root like hell for the team I love.

Our next game is Monday, November 17th. 11 more long days until the Cleveland Browns visit the Buffalo Bills!!!!
