NFL 2008-09 Season

The poor guy live 2 doors down from me. He walked down the front steps, paused to spit blood all over the sidewalk, got on the ambulance gurney, they loaded him in, and he died enroute to the hospital. Definitely ruined my day. He was about the same age as I am. Thanks for your concerns, guys.

A Pistons victory would definitely bouy my spirits tonight.

Would a Lions Win or Loss help your spirits ?

Personally I think losing all their game would do more for them than winning 1 game

What's the point of them winning on a day I'm not watching? Especially if it's the only game they win this season. Anyhow, they heading for a top 1-3 draft pick, and there will be plenty to pick from in all 3 spots.

Besides, what would I bitch about in "Daze of our Lions", if they win?

If the Lions continue on thier current pace they will have the # 1 pick and inverably take the wrong guy and the other 2 will go on to be Stars :D
btw, the media will say it was a great choice and that the Lions may be a playoff team next year, like every year ...

True , that has happened way more than it hasn't. BUT, every once in a while they screw up, (or in this case, Green Bay screwed up) and land a "Barry Sanders".

One can only hope and dream.

The media, and most of our "pundits" here predicted a playoff season for the sad-sack Lions. As usual I was the "voice of reason". Hold the applause.

Wasn't that the year that Deon and Barry came out the same year and they were very close to taking Deon instead ?

On paper it was really easy to make that mistake, but if you had watched them Sunday-in, Sunday-out, last season, you would have made the same predictions I did. Even I over-estimated their talents earlier in the season.

Matt Cassel is starting to make a believer out of me! :up

If he keeps playing like this, he'll have a job somewhere next year!

Jets 30.........Rams 0 at the 2 minute warning of the first half!

In six quarters at the Meadowlands against the NFC West, the Jets have now scored 85 points!!!

Maybe Favre just likes playing on FOX?

Maybe Favre just likes playing on FOX?

Yep. Other than his first two years in Green Bay (CBS in 1992 and 1993), the rest of his Packer career was mainly on FOX.

In fact, his Super Bowl triumph was televised on FOX (The one he lost to Denver was NBC's last NFL game until 2006)
