Wow, what a place !

The pictures on there don't show half the lounge. There is a huge projection screen in one half and all the booths have tvs. Then the casino is all around it. Great place to kill a weekend.

Re: NCAA Football 2012-13

I noticed that rooms go from $79 on the Thursday before the Football season starts to $299 the next day, the Friday before.

Weekends are always high. But they are great about giving comps. I haven't paid for a room there in years. Even got a penthouse suite a couple of years ago on a week night. It was fantastic.

Hell, I'd be thrilled to have the weekday rate for a weekend !

Does anyone have any knowledge or insight as to DTV picking up the Pac-12 Network? Wonder if they will restrict it to the Sports Package or make it available in the same packages as the Big Ten Network?

Who comes up with these designs? Nowadays it seems tradition and common sense, gets thrown out for crazy colors and wacky designs.

lolz thanks for the link, first I had heard of it or the uni's for the BG game and Camo but ohh well won't matter. I do agree with sticking to tradition but here lately VT has been going back to the hold day's of the old VT logo's that I don't care for either.

On a side note, I'm pulling for Michigan hard in that Bama game...they look like to be just as good as they were last year in the Sugar Bowl and they apparently needed all they could muster to beat VT in OT so should make for a good even game between the two teams.

Suddenly I feel much better about Bamas chances in that game. :D

look to be pretty evenly matched going into this game but ignore pre-season hype and polls cause both teams could suck and be a boring game as was the LSU/Bama 1st meeting of last year. Speaking of pre-season polls, every single team placement is now void and wrong - Lane Kiff has pulled his votes and is no longer voting in the coaches polls thus they all need to be scraped and nobody gets a damn number till few games in. This hurts way too many teams that should be rated higher than they really are.

I know I have said this before, but I found it exciting enough.

For instance, who?

Kiffin put his foot in his mouth and the reporters helped him with it. I think they should publish the votes every week, none of this secret BS they do until the final vote.

How about all of them. No one knows squat until they hit the field. And even then the coaches have no idea because they spend their time concentrating on just the teams on their schedule. Coaches voting is a joke to begin with.

Why not, they're all undefeated.

Just saying, the pre-season rankings are meaningless and giving anyone an edge before any games are played skews reality gives a poor basis for comparison. Just because you beat a 5th ranked team on Sep 1 shouldn't carry the weight it does when that 5th ranked team ends up going 6 and 6 because the "experts" were wrong from the start.

Just another reason a larger playoff pool is needed to get a true national champion.

Fair enough, and many probably share that view on pre season rankings. (and some on the playoffs, although I think 4 is a good number).

I really was curious about DVRs thoughts on who he thought should be rated higher in particular though. I have a pretty good idea, but I was curious.

Last year's a better example. OK St, for one! WVU was unranked in preseason poll. Oklahoma was 1 or 2.

I agree with the basic point - the preseason poll needs scrapping, as it makes the low/unranked have to climb a higher mountain to a high ranking, and the ranked that tank (Texas, Miss St, etc last year) get too much of benefit of doubt.

Question for you guys ....

While my Buckeyes are not eligible for a Bowl game this year, will they be part of the Polls if they are good enough to be in the Top 25, or are they not allowed in them either.

I would like for them to be included, just so you can somewhat judge where they stand with the other teams.

Also, if they are, do you think they will be voted lower that they might be if they weren't in the banned situation they are in ?

USC wasn't in the BCS polls last year but I think they were still in the AP poll weren't they?

I judge my team in relation to others by what they do on the field, not by what some pollster thinks. Unfortunately, the last few years my CU Buffs haven't fared well in any comparisons, but I think they're on the road back to respectability (just a slow road).

By the way, to those of you in the east that didn't get to see USC last year. Until someone shows me they can stop Barkley, Lee and Woods, I have no doubt who is #1.

They are still allowed to be in the polls. Remember when Auburn was undefeated in 2004 but couldn't go anywhere.
