Any Texas A&M or Missouri fans in the forum?

If so, I am curious, what are you most looking forward to with the move to the SEC? Any stadiums you are particularly excited to go to, or any teams you are really looking forward to playing?

Also, how do you think you will fare in the first season?
I think they're mostly excited not to be playing in Norman and Austin. :)

I'd rather play in Norman or Austin than in Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa. At least there was no defense back there so you could actually score some points.

I'd love to go to more away games than I do..but with gas prices so high and the costs of my season tickets constantly going up etc etc it just isn't worth it and I'd rather sit at home and watch.

2nd game of the year FLA goes to Texas...... I am very excited about this game. On the one hand I am glad to welcome Texas AM to the SEC, and on the other other hand I am scared because I do not know what to expect from this FLA offense. I know our Defense is solid, (we were in the top 10 in the nation last year and return most players and some very nice addons) our offense though is very shaky....

It's loud and raucous in Aggieland, but they have been very inconsistent the last few seasons, so you really won't know until you get there which team your playing. I haven't kept up with them now that they've moved on, but I would expect more of the same early in the season considering they've brought in new staff and systems.

Thats kind of what I would expect. A great atmosphere, and depending on what day it is, a competitive game, BUT, maybe a blowout as well. lol

I would like to go check out the stadium though.

Mathieu Dismissed From Football Team - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics
Tyrann Mathieu has been dismissed from the LSU football team for violation of team policy, head coach Les Miles announced on Friday.
"This is a very difficult day for our team," Miles said. "We lose a quality person, teammate and contributor to the program. However, with that being said, we have a standard that our players are held to and when that standard is not met, there are consequences.
"It's hard because we all love Tyrann. We will do what we can as coaches, teammates, and friends to get him on a path where he can have success. We are going to miss him."

Uh oh

I heard this rumor last night some where but I tell ya - teams and coaches need to come down hard on players for breaking serious rules - Clemson didn't suspend Watkins but for 2 games for drug issues IMO he got off way too easy. The coaches need to go back in here in 2 weeks and re-vote on the coaches polls cause I can tell ya they got it all wrong and even now its very very wrong!

Dang, must have been something bad to get an sec team to throw you out. :D

Still amazes me, people can't stay out of trouble, when they are in a position and have the opportunity to secure a future most people can only dream about.

The SEC is not afraid to throw out anyone who violates major rules.

Florida got rid of the best Corner in the NCAA at the time just a couple years ago, Jenkins (now a NFL starter), and Cam Newton (now an NFL starter).. LSU getting rid of one of the best defensive players in div1 is a big blow to the program for sure, must of been a really bad violation.

Watkins didn't have multiple positive tests (or as many multiples), think of it like a 2nd strike to Honey Badger's 3rd.

Re: NCAA Football 2012-13

About two weeks or so until Michigan/Alabama, should be a good one!

Can't wait. Got reservations on the coast at the IP resort casino. Gonna get my spot early at the sports bar, and gonna root for the tide. Should be a great one.

Food, beer, football, then gambling. Hard to beat it, with free rooms.
