NCAA Football 2011-2012

lol constant ACC hate... I get that you are ACC and you know ACC and you graduated ACC but come on man... its starting to sound like a broken record.

Each conference has a few teams that just look real bad this year...it happens. Miami was missing players just as OSU was and thats why you have recruiting to fill spots so missing players is a excuse I won't buy anyway. No matter what you have a few teams in the ACC that are undefeated but just as other conferences they will play each other and that will be that..ohh well.

Just remember anything can happen on any givin Saturday... even LSU or any other awesome SEC team can fall to a weaker team, and I've yet to see a team that is perfect with no mistakes in any game they've played so I can and will happen.

Miami lost to freaking Maryland and Kansas state.. They beat a bad OSU team, who barely beat a worse Toledo team. The real test for OSU are the next few games, we get to see how bad they really are.

Clemson, beat a horrible Auburn team, probably the worst team in the SEC if not for vandy and ole miss this year. They beat a FSU team who also has not won any games of note, (all be it they were very understaffed and injury plagued)

GaTech, Well no real wins of note, but are undefeated.

VTech, Beat no one of note, only top 15 team they play this year is a Clemson who we already know has played no one to prove themselves.

So tell me why on earth would a undefeated Vtech or Clemson or Gatech jump in front of a 1 loss SEC Team like LSU, Alabama, FLA, or even South Carolina, based on the schedule those teams had? I mean put VTech in LSUs shoes and likely have 2 losses already this season, with Oregon and WVU.

its not ACC bashing its stating the facts. You want to break the smack talk then your conference needs to produce results on the field.

No its not ACC bashing but its SEC Bias on your part.... sorry but I disagree and that would even go towards a Big East Undefeated team ahead of a 1 loss SEC team with a similar schedule and pre-season set at #15 or better. I'm not just defending the ACC I'm defending common sense here in regards to how #1 and #2 are picked to play each other in the final poll. These kids in a Undefeated team that again started out #15 or better preseason and worked their butts off to stay undefeated no matter who they played deserve a fair shot and not to be over looked just cause of past history..the same past history that no longer has players playing on these previous championship winning teams...its not fair to the current players.

As for me avoiding smack talk cause of MY conference producing more results.... I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS.... why in the world say this when I can't go out and make these kids in certain teams play harder, faster or better... come on now. I really don't mind the smack talk..this is what the forum is for so long as its civil and remains within the common sense barrier.

I or anyone else can't help this... the voters put them at #13 and regardless what you think they are playing as #13 and will be viewed as such.... just as everyone will view #12 Florida playing a #3 Alabama this week...cause god knows Florida hasn't played anyone yet to deserve their #12 spot or have they....a lot to think about.

I think its fair to say I support my team... I support a fair system and so far I've not seen it being fair, hell even the refs screw teams over (toledo game comes to mind most recently). The last 2-4 years of the BCS has been all screwed up and needs to go to a playoff...just no way around it and it may take a act of Congress to make it happen and you bet I support Congress getting involved as something has to change and soon!

Do you agree with him though about Va Tech playing the LSU schedule to this point and having 2 losses? I think one for sure, most likely two.

I think Oregon would have gave them a fit but I can't speculate to say they would have beat VT. WVA and Vt has always been a very good rival game and the last time VT played them they tore them apart..I think the same results would happen this season based on stats I've seen each team put up.

But again...this is all speculation either way you want to look at it.

Yeah interesting news the MAC won't give Toledo that win... I wonder what rule they are going by not to over turn this? What more does it take to have something like this done cause depending on teams something like this could have serious end of season problems when bowls come up.

The head of the Mid-American Conference says there's no way to take away Syracuse's overtime win over Toledo despite a blown call on an extra point.
Mid-American commissioner Jon Steinbrecher says no way to vacate Syracuse Orange win - ESPN

Like Boise State?

Sure... as much as I dislike Kellen Moore St if they go undefeated then they should play ahead of a 1 loss LSU, OU or Bama team...
I bet if Boise St. cruises through the rest of their season, which they probably will, and gets picked to go to a BCS bowl ahead of a 1 loss Virginia Tech, you won't be so understanding. Call it a hunch. :)

So you think their schedule is crap, they play one big game a year, and you want to reward them for walking through 12 cupcakes with a trip to the championship game over a team from a major conference (not just the SEC) that played a murderers row and lost one?

aww so a major conference (not just the SEC) includes which ones? ACC right? Big East?

VT has a auto jump into the Orange Bowl if they win the ACC... your hunch is void. :)

Personally, I would say the SEC, Big 10, and Big 12.
It would be hard to make a legitimate argument about a "murderers row schedule" when it comes to the Big East and the ACC (at least recently).

Say VT's one loss knocks them out of the conference title then. And Boise goes to the BCS CG. Still OK with that? ;)

sure VT will just have to settle for the Chick Fil bowl down in Atlanta. lol I see where your going with this but really... a undefeated team that started out in the top15 that ends up neck and neck with a 1 loss in the polls should get the leg up for the big game.

I agree with the "murder row schedule" argument.... the Big East doesn't have much at all and the ACC has its issues each year but this year i'd say they have a harder schedule thru their teams than the Pac12 does this year.

I can tell you that if it were Bama, and say we lose to an undefeated LSU, which keeps us out of the SECCG, and Boise gets a BCS bowl over us, then I would be livid.

Lol, which is why I didnt include the Pac 12 in my statement either ;)

You're banking on VT going undefeated aren't you? Setting up your argument if a 1 loss Bama is up there with an undefeated OU. Go for it. :)

yeah but if LSU went #1 and played Kellen Moore St as #2 then the follow up team to the SEC would get a BCS bowl game anyway - the Sugar Bowl or am I wrong to think this is how it would work cause obviously the SEC champ can't play in both.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
