NCAA Football 2011-2012

We do travel well, but these ticket prices aren't sitting well with our fan base. At least they had the good sense to drop student tickets from $75 last year to $50 this year. Add another $40 for parking, and I won't be there.

If they want to continue to play this in D/FW, I am hoping it will move to the Cotton Bowl. It's going to be a beautiful day tomorrow, and a game played in a classic stadium in fresh air >> a game played in a gigantic sterile money extraction mall.

What a beat down last night by PITT!!! WOW!
Pitt is pissing me off. I'm in a pickoff contest at texags.com. I picked them at Iowa and lost major fake $$$. I picked South Florida over them last night and lost even more fake $$$.

Damn you Panthers!!!

He basically says the Hokies have the clearest path because they have the easiest schedule remaining, with pretty much no ranked teams beyond Clempson, while the other top teams all have challenging schedules.

I know but I'd like to read it... its still likely some of the other teams in the future like GT will be ranked when they play VT - schedule isn't that easy by no means.

But anyway...I'd like to read it but for the amount of articles they post that I would like to read its hardly worth getting a sub.

Conference schedules never are.

...only because you are forced to play road games. The ACC is primarily a basketball conference with schools that happen to also play football. Syracuse and Pitt will fit right in LOL.

Pitt, Syracuse, Miami, VaTech all have good football history. The only that has somewhat maintained it as of late has been VaTech. All schools go through cycles...some cycles a little longer than others.

I can understand that. Nothing cheap around JerryWorld, except maybe a few of the women. ;)

As for the old Cotton Bowl Stadium, I thought they just used that thing for concerts and highschool football now.

In the old ACC, Maryland had a very good football program. Not so much lately, and never quite as good as the basketball program.

And OU/Texas during the Texas State Fair (next week).

A&M might want to get used to Jerry's World. I was reading they may play an entire season or two there and at Reliant in Houston, while having their stadium remodeled.

OU/Texas in the Cotton Bowl during the State Fair is one of the best football weekends you can attend.

Is it still played in Cotton Bowl Stadium? Wasn't aware of that. That's good. That stadium has some character and history. Been to a few very cold Cotton Bowls and one OU/Texas game. Would hate to see it ever go down.

Bad thing about the Cotton bowl is they sold out tickets before they even named teams to play in it..IMO that hurts the fans of which ever teams get in cause you end up paying scalper prices (VERY HIGH) to get tickets.

They don't sell all the seats. An allotment are left available for each school. They have to do that. No different than the Sugar Bowl or Orange Bowl.

Supposedly they are going to tear down the first two levels of Kyle Field on the east and west sides after the 2013 season. We'll play the 2014 season at Reliant (90 miles from campus) with a game or two at Jerryworld (190 miles from campus). The new west side will feature lots of luxury boxes and club seating. The east side is part of the student section. I don't know the point of rebuilding that as you'll never be able to get much money (relative to others) out of them. We are also going to replace the current bleachers in the south endzone with something similar to what we have in the north endzone.

The City of Dallas just sank something like $70 million into the Cotton Bowl. It's got new locker rooms, all new seating, and a new scoreboard. I haven't been up there since it was done, but it looks much nicer on TV.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
