NCAA Football 2011-2012

Well, Clempson exposed VPI as the pretender most of us have been saying they were. They got beat by the only good team on their schedule, so even if they win out, they would have beaten no one.

The Tigers will easily jump into the top 10, and likely remain there as the Jackets and Cocks are the only real teams left on their schedule, and neither seems likely to beat them. And since they've beat 3 ranked teams in a row, it shows they had meat on their schedule. With that, and a likely season ending win against USC, they will leap ahead of any 1-loss team into the BCS game.

Right now, it's them (not VPI) with the easiest road to the championship. Helps when you frontload your schedule like that. People remember those early big wins (even if they losing teams falter again later).

I HATE to see Brantley go down, that looked painful. I am curious about the play before though. How was that not a Bama TD??

They just showed a real time replay and you can hear a whistle blow right when Bama starts to run with it. I think they just called it a Brantley recovery for the sake of not looking stupid.

But the Timeout?

If he recovered, and why was it not reviewed, then I am my dads uncle.

What an ass kicking. Alabama's defense is just awesome. Probably have the best offensive line in college football. I think their only weakness is the QB.

November 5th LSU v Bama is probably going to be for a spot in the MNC game, because LSU ain't losing next week. *

*oh yeah, we get to listen to Verne "I hate Florida" Lundquist again next week. The CBS crew sucks.

VT had all kinds of issues and yeah Clemson really pointed them out and took advantage. They played a good game and VT just screwed up all over the place.

Only thing I can hope for is Vt wins out and meets up with Clemson again at the end of the year in the ACC champ game for a rematch but at that point I would hope they fix what is wrong and that's quite a few things at this point.

So yeah VT can still win out and get Clemson on the plate again for a rematch..if that happens great if not then ohhh well and I hope for a nice bowl game but we shall see. As for Clemson having a easy road to the championship..prob so they got past VT and don't have much left in front of them either. VT wasn't the only good team that lost yesterday though as a undefeated - florida lost and Nebraska lost so it happens, someone has to win and someone has to lose.

On a side point - the weather blew for tailgating, I think I may come down with a cold. I saw someone's popup canopy flip over on top of a guys BMW the wind blew so hard....even during the game it played hell with both teams for a while.

Next week is Miami coming to town and they always play hard so they got 1 week to fix mistakes and issues that's for sure.

Go hokies! :)

The problem is, VT isn't that good of a team....definitely not on par with Nebraska......

But hey following your logic, with them being a good team, they shouldn't drop, or very little in the polls, eh? ;)

Yeah I think they are a good team.. lots of good talent but a bunch of problems that just are not getting fixed even during the last past teams they've played. I swear the playbook is stuck on page 3. As for them on par with Nebraska...naw they are not but I was just pointing out a bunch of undefeated teams got beat yesterday so it happens nothing you can do ..need a winner and need a loser and that's just how it happened. They will prob drop several spots in the polls..but right now it really doesn't matter anymore - main thing here is to fix problems (a lot of them) and win out to perhaps meet up with Clemson again. It happened in 2007 against BC..it can happen again.

Off to clean my grill.... :)

After this week, can anyone say that they have truly figured out Auburn? I just dont know what to make of them. They looked horrible last week, but at the end of it, they only have one loss. A close one to what will most likely be a top ten team (or close) in the next poll.
They are interesting to watch in any case.

Quite honestly, I don't think Auburn is a bad team this year, their only loss is to a Clempson team that seems really good.

So while people were saying Clempson exposed a bad Auburn team, it's looking more and more that Auburn just happened to lose to a really good Clempson team (probably their best since '81).

Can you read lips.....LOL Saban requests that you kindly settle the "blank" down AJ. The look on the assistant coaches is priceless. They are like, "oh crap, coach is mad".

TideSports.com - UFPD investigating assault on former UA player

Former University of Alabama football player Reggie Myles has filed a complaint with the University of Florida Police Department alleging that he was attacked by Florida defensive lineman Dominique Easley outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium shortly after the Crimson Tide's 38-10 win over Florida on Saturday night.

UFPD Sgt. Steve Wilder confirmed that an investigation is ongoing regarding Myles' complaint, but that UFPD has not yet confirmed that Easley was Myles' attacker.

"I'm trying to identify a suspect, who it was that actually hit him and injured him. I'll go from there," Wilder said.

Myles said he learned who his attacker was from Easley's parents, who were at the scene. According to Myles, he was tackled from behind and the attack was unprovoked.

A cell phone, dropped by Myles' assailant before he fled the scene, also may help police make an identification. Myles took possession of the phone and subsequently provided it to police at the scene.

"His parents were asking me for the phone back," Myles said.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
