They are speculating, lets face it until it's a done deal that is all it is, that UConn and either WVU or Texas will go to the ACC. I think UConn will benefit to move to the ACC instead of waiting out the Big East.
A little birdy told me that the Texas Longhorns are still "flirting" with The Big 10.
I think they will slip in to 25th or so after this week... I'm hoping for it as they play VT in 3 weeks - at Lane![]()
also i'd rather texas schools stay away from the ACC...makes no sense. To be honest it makes no sense they going to the PAC 12 either as it hurts fan travel IMO.
OU has taken the first formal step in leaving the Bovine 9.

I just heard on FOX Sports, Texas and Oklahoma to the PAC 12.

Yea because right now VT has 0 ranked teams on its schedule.. And if miami does get ranked it would be by the hair on there chin. Oddly enough Boise st plays more ranked teams..![]()
Umm look again, VT plays a Ranked Clemson team and a ranked GT team... I don't see FSU winning this week at Death Valley - ESPN already see's it as well so they took the Clemson @ VT game in two weeks and made it prime time 6pm ESPN cause they see it could pit two top 10 teams come that week. Miami will likely get in ranked in coming weeks.
6 pm in not prime time.
The Kansas City Star, citing a University of Missouri booster as its source, said that the Tigers have an invitation to join the Southeastern Conference and that the SEC is willing to wait for the Big 12 issues to be resolved before making a final decision.
"Apparently [the SEC has] come to us," the Missouri booster said, according to the Star. "I've been told there is an offer on the table."
Great. We already have one set of Tigers too many somewhere in Alabama.Looks like the SEC has it's #14 in mind.
Oklahoma will consider staying in Big 12, but wants reform, according to report - ESPN
I know the feeling, there's one set of bulldogs too many in Mississippi (or Mississipi as it's spelled in Alabama)Great. We already have one set of Tigers too many somewhere in Alabama.![]()

The seismic shift in college athletics has once again been diverted.
Unless there is a major surprise looming, the latest round of conference realignment will only produce a handful of changes. The 16-team superconference is again on hold.
The Pac-12 presidents and chancellors decided late Tuesday night not to expand, leaving Texas and Oklahoma to figure out a way to get along in the Big 12.
"After careful review we have determined that it is in the best interests of our member institutions, student-athletes and fans to remain a 12-team conference," Commissioner Larry Scott said in a statement. "While we have great respect for all of the institutions that have contacted us, and certain expansion proposals were financially attractive, we have a strong conference structure and culture of equality that we are committed to preserve."
West Virginia and Missouri have both been speculated to be candidates and there were reports earlier Tuesday that the SEC and Missouri had a tentative agreement.
The SEC shot that down.
"The Southeastern Conference has not agreed formally or informally to accept any institution other than Texas A&M, and there have not been conference discussions regarding changes in divisional alignments," SEC associate commissioner Charles Bloom said.
With Texas and Oklahoma still around, there might not be a reason for Missouri to relocate.
