NCAA Football 2011-2012

Too many dropped balls. Period, catch them and the game is entirely different.

Score more and the game is entirely different.
Fact is, they didnt. All the coulda in the world wont change that. Deal with it, they got handled in this game. OSU will be back, this will most likely be a down year.

I like FSU's chances to win the ACC.. Ill take them.

I think someone was wondering how FSU was rated so high earlier tonight. They played like a #5 team tonight...if OU is truly a #1 .

Whoever had the bright idea to make OSU/Tulsa a 9:15 kickoff for tv was an idiot. It is pouring buckets of rain here with lightning now and the stadium was cleared right before kickoff. Still waiting to start.

10:40 CDT and your game still hasn't started. If this thing is a runaway for the Cowpokes (which I suspect it will be), it might be an empty stadium midway through the 3rd qtr. :D

It was empty when I left 15 -20 minutes ago. Probably about 10k in the Reynolds Center and surrounding area, this really sucks. Glad I didn't actually fork over the 500 bucks for these tickets, for the 5 of us. Actually it would have been more since we had my sisters company's corporate suite. Took my sister and the kids home, my brother in law is still there . Will watch it on tv if it ever starts and if Dish still has the HD feed up.

Hearing on the news they are now looking at kicking off at midnight.

Suite tickets...oh man, I feel bad for you. What's the chance of rescheduling the thing for later tomorrow? Stillwater is pretty close to Tulsa. Wouldn't be that much of an inconvenience to either team.

From what I am hearing it is tonight or nothing apparently. Tomorrow afternoon hasn't been discussed. There are no open weekends left, for each team to make it up later either.
The suites are the way to go. We've had a suite a Boone Pickens the last 2 years, but I just started my own company 7 months ago and can't justify that much money for a few football games.

I never said that.

...you said if the WRs catch the ball, it's a different game... And if Jacory does not under throw a wide open WR when they were at midfield and driving, then Miami scores again... I mean you cannot play that game of "what ifs"....

FSU's defense was damn impressive tonight. You can see the improvements just from comparing last year's score to this year's. FSU's offense moved backwards too much to have a realistic chance of winning the game. I compared them to LSU's team last year while watching - they hung around due to defense and had the opportunity to win, despite bonehead offensive plays

OSU got rocked, not surprising

I heard there was an incident with a whistle in the crowd in the Kentucky/Louisville game...like most people, I didn't waste my time watching it. Does anyone have more info?

Impressive comeback by Clemson after being down big early on against Auburn. Looks like the ACC frontrunners are Clemson and FSU

While Oklahoma won't drop in the polls as they faced the #5 team and won on the road, they still look suspect when playing a top tier team. I'm not sure if I can buy the hype surrounding them now, but there really isn't much competition in the Big 12 for them right now aside from Ok St.

I didn't catch UF vs Tennessee, but the results didn't shock me. UF doesn't look fantastic as a unit, but they could make things interesting in the SEC

BYU got absolutely MAULED by Utah. USC beat Syracuse. Colorado finally picked up a win. Washington St, Az St, UCLA, Washington all lost out of conference games.

Marcus Lattimore had a MONSTER game, but Scar barely beat Navy at home. Not a good showing, especially after they struggled against East Carolina

Notre Dame beat Michigan St. The only real upset this week and it shocked me. Who wants to bet ND will somehow be ranked tomorrow:rolleyes:

FIU put a knocking on UCF in a game nobody watched. FIU is trying to become a contender in the state. How many states have 6 teams that could potentially be ranked at some point during the season? Recruiting in Florida is a mess. Florida State won the state championship last year, giving them control of the state. Where the mess really picks up is with Miami, USF, UCF, and FIU. USF defeated Miami last year and is ranked in the top 25 once again this season. UCF beat Georgia last year in a Toilet Bowl game, giving them quite a bit of recruiting power. FIU seems to be on the rise overall, and defeated UCF today. What obviously hurts FIU and UCF right now is their conference. Florida and Georgia should just create their own Big 8 conference with all of the realignment going on. That sure would be interesting:popcorn

Watching Stanford versus Arizona right. The announcer said that one of the reasons that Andrew Luck returned to Stanford was that he loved school(he's learning to be a mechanical engineer). He can go back to Stanford next year for his senior year of football(he was a redshirted freshman & is a junior this year),but if he graduates academically this year, would he forgo the NFL for at least a year if he is offered a Rhodes Scholarship? Wouldn't THAT just upset the "Andrew Luck Sweepstakes(but he should take the Rhodes Scholarship if offered it)."

I think it is truly remarkable to see a college athlete today that would rather stay in school than go pro because he cares about education. Obviously it is unique since Stanford is better known for academics than football, but it still is remarkable to see. I remember people knocking Luck for staying in school, when he should really be getting praise. More kids should be doing what he is

Jim...then I can say that one of Jacory's INT was while they were driving...and if he gets it to a wide open WR, they were going to come out with atleast at FG.

Cannot play that game of "shoulda, coulda, woulda"....

...you said if the WRs catch the ball, it's a different game... And if Jacory does not under throw a wide open WR when they were at midfield and driving, then Miami scores again... I mean you cannot play that game of "what ifs"....

Now, THAT'S funny.

You did this EXACT same thing with the Raiders v Broncos, and now you're saying "you can't play that game".

Par for the course.

I don't know about the Broncos giving it away because if you take away all the turnovers and half of the penalties, Denver gets shutout 16-0. There was no way they were stop the run because the Denver D-line is undersized.

... true form always comes out. ...

It does, doesn't it?

I agree.

But the thing is, his family has money, therefore he doesn't have the financial "need" to go pro.
Therefore if he's really loving school, I can see him staying another year, and doing the Rhodes Scholar thing.
He's one of he few that aren't "majoring" in football as a path to the NFL. Seems more like he's using football as a path through school.

It does, doesn't it?

Not even close. The Raiders won as well as the U....simple as that. I did not need "what ifs" like you brought up in the Raider game nor in the game last night. So please go sulk over your Broncos and Buckeyes somewhere else...its old news and tired junior!

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
