NCAA Football 2011-2012

Not thrilled with all the uniform changes. I mean, tradition is such a huge part of college football...and some people are trampling all over tradition.

They said on ESPN the other day they are going with the wild uniforms to get recruits to notice them.

Sent from a galaxy far far away.

Heck, if it's all about money over tradition, why not go all the way?

1. Instead of the OSU band doing script Ohio, they can do script Nike. A different Nike athlete can dot the I every week.

2. Change Howard's Rock at Clemson to Nike Rock. All the Clemson players can touch the swoosh before the game.

3. Outfit the Cadets and Midshipmen in new Nike outfits so they can walk into the Army-Navy game in style. Heck, Nike calls their new uniforms 'Combat' uniforms...seems like a perfect fit. What the heck do Army and Navy know about Combat uniforms anyway? Nike has researched this and they know what sells!

4. The Auburn War Eagle can fly around the stadum in a new Combat uniform as well.

5. The Sooner Schooner certainly needs a new sponsor too. And the Ramblin' Wreck. Those things needs a swoosh or two, and Michael Jordan or Lebron James driving it into the game.

6. The Gator chomp? Buh Bye. Bring on the Gator Swoosh.

7. Chief Osceola and the Trojan warrior need cool new Nike uniforms too. More warriors who can learn a thing or two from Nike about dressing for battle.

8. "Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, Just Do It!!!

They also got jumped when they are a better team than SC yet SC went right on by them again after beating a Georgia team while having a horrible defense that allowed a 1-AA team to rack up over 345 yards on them - Same 1-AA team that has always played damn hard and should have been in the Big East years ago.
What 1-AA team? Neither Georgia nor South Carolina have played a 1-AA team yet.
And the team that hammered Georgia does happen to be a top 5 team (no matter how much you dismiss Boise St).

And does 345 yards really matter, when you win 56-37? The ECU game being even, USC beating UGA at home is more impressive to the voters (and most people) than VT beating 1-AA Applacian St. in Blacksburg.

it is what it is no matter how much you wish to dismiss or argue the numbers...sorry :)

You still haven't answered what 1-AA team South Carolina or Georgia played ;)

In a blowout, yardage is immaterial, because coaches tend to relax their defenses in the 4th quarter once the game is in hand.

the 1-AA was a typo I believe or was thinking something else... can't remember it was a long night last night for me and a 4year old....no big deal.

Yeah a blowout is what it is but many voters don't read everything and don't tend to know if 4th quarter replacements were tossed in they just look at scores.

I reckon you wouldn't... hard to look at the outside of the box while sitting inside of it ;)

And the only reason you see it is you are outside the box screaming to get in. ;)

I have no way to prove it, but IF VT were in the top ten, I would wager you would never have took us into this line of discussion. (not yet anyway).
