NCAA Football 2011-2012

I agree, they'll drop further than that.

What will be interesting is how many #1 votes LSU will pick up (based on knocking off Oregon who had some #1 votes). Oklahoma & Alabama might lose some votes to LSU.

They may very well leapfrog Bama. I doubt it, but it is possible.

I can see a top ten ranking, maybe, but a one spot drop with a loss? Not to mention it is at the beginning of the season when we really know nothing about the teams.
Exactly, we do not know if they were really a top 3 team, or just a pretender.

That's the thing I really hate about preseason polls, they are based on nothing but guesses. The coaches & AP should really think about doing like the Harris Poll and not come out with official rankings until halfway through the season.

To me, they did not look worthy of the number 3 or 4 ranking.

I saw more talent on Oregon than I did against a bunch of the other top 10 teams...but in a perfect world it won't happen like that and they will prob drop down to #10 or so... Many teams did play low tier teams so it is hard to gauge whats what....and yes I don't like pre season polls either, you can blame that on media.

Polls are out. Oregon and TCU drop big as expected. Baylor jumps up while Auburn falls out of top 25.

Not a smart move to put Oregon-LSU at that neutral site in Dallas.

Why out it somewhere where you know LSU fans are gonna take over?

Meh, its just where that particular game will be played each year. Next year it will most likely be Bama with more fans there than Michigan.

Definitely an advantage for LSU fans, although the Dallas-Fort Worth airport is easy access for all who can afford it. But, obviously the 9 hour drive made things easier for next door neighbor Louisiana. LSU fans tend to take over regardless of the distance though.
