NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Remember who the coach of the losing team was. An onside kick in that situation would be OK. Spurrier's never showed any class throughout his career why should he be given any mercy when his team is getting whipped? Karma's a bitch as they say.

I'll agree with you and Salsa here. Spurrier was infamous for running up the score in his Florida heyday.

PSSST...Hey Paul, you didn't quote Salsa.;):)

So if Oklahoma beats Texas Tech, but Missouri wins the Big 12 for an automatic BCS bid, you're saying that 2 of the remaining teams would land a BCS berth. Isn't there a limit of 2 per conference?:D
Forgot about Missouri. Brain Fart :p
If Missouri wins the Big 12, they'll get the BCS bid. My guess is that Texas would be the one to get an at large out of the the 3 South teams.

If Oklahoma beats Texas Tech, Supposedly Texas would play Missouri. If they lose, they would be delegated to the Alamo bowl (or another similar bowl). That leaves two one loss Big Twelve teams for one BCS slot.:D

It'll come down to money then, same as in the old days. Which team travels better.
But since Texas Tech's loss is more recent, and to Oklahoma, I think the Fiesta would then take the Sooners.

I will be rooting For tech as a fan of football but against them as a gators fan. Thats the one team I do not want to play. Although I think playing them and beating them would make a NC win even more sweeter.

But alas we cant look to far ahead we still have Alabama, and FSU to go. Although FSU should be fairly easy, (going in to Doak though as a Gator is never without its issue) and of course this coming weeks practice match with citadel will get FLAS 2nd and 3rd string guys some practice and allow the starters to rest.

Jimbo, even if OSU remains at #10 and below PSU, there's still a chance they can get an at large bid for a BCS game. That Scout.com projection has OSU in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama.

How many BSC bowl games are there ?
4 plus the MNC game or is there another ?

MNC game
Rose
Fiesta
Orange
Sugar

Is the Cotton bowl a BSC game ?

If it's only the list on the top, thats 5 games and 10 teams, why does the BSC consist of 12 teams ?

I don't see OSU getting in, especially if Oregon St. takes the Pac-10.

Out of the 10 BCS slots:
6 are guaranteed to the 6 BCS conference champs, 4 are open.
The Big 12 & SEC will definitely get a 2nd BCS bid (ACC & Big East need not apply).
The 3rd slot will be either Utah or Boise St.
That leaves only one slot left. If Oregon St. wins the Pac-10 (by beating Arizona & Oregon), then USC will get the remaining slot as the Feista Bowl gets first pick of the open slots, and would prefer a relatively nearby USC.

Good explanation. :up

Or would they prefer a team that they KNOW is going to sell the place out ?

I know, It's the Univ. of Spoiled Children, of course they will be in a BCS game, at LEAST it would NOT be a HOME game

Travel, Travel, neither of those teams are going to travel, except maybe next door ....

The Bucks are the ones that will pack the place.
