NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Michigan @ Ohio State (Big Ten)- NATIONAL TELECAST

That's only the second national telecast of a college football game this year at the 12:00 eastern time slot.

Given that the other one was Texas/Oklahoma, that's surprising since one team is REALLY BAD.

I don't think the country will be impressed with a blowout. Michigan got killed by Penn State; this one will be just as bad.

Is it just me or is Oklahoma is starting to remind me of the old-school run-and-shoot Houston Cougars?

Conider:

Oklahoma has been pouring on the points since they lost to Texas- 45, 58, 62, and 66 points against their four overmatched opponents.

Kinda starting to remind me of the Houston Cougars of Andre Ware and David Klingler, who run it up to impress the voters. I think Bradford's in that same situation,

Oklahoma's always been that way. Remember in 2003 when the Sooners were ranked #1 all year until they were flattened by Kansas St in the Big XII CG and then got beat by LSU in the NC? How about 2004 when Oklahoma ran the table and then got destroyed by USC in the NC? And then there were the losses in the last 2 Fiesta Bowls. Oklahoma's no different this year. The only question is whether they actually show up for their bowl game.

That is obvious.

The only team I can ever recall destroying everyone in its path and winning EVERY game in a year was the 1995 Nebraska team led by Tommie Frazier.

Got another question

Is USC one-dimensional?

Yes, their defense is great, but their offense is VERY suspect.

If Penn State plays the Trojans in the Rose Bowl, USC's offense can't make up for it.

The last two years, USC DID have a great offense. Not so much at times this year (I'm not impressed by what they did against Washington and Washington State. Sandra would look like Graham Harrell against those teams!).

(EDIT- 4000TH POST!!)

One positive on Saturday's PSU loss is that OSU along with PSU and Michigan State, now hold a 3-way share of the Big Ten Title.

Great, If PSU beats MSU, they win, if MSU beats them, OSU wins ? even though both teams would have 2 losses and PSU beat OSU ?, OSU already beat MSU ...

Probably end in a TIE ?

Who goes bowling then, BSC wise ?

My nightmare scenario: OU beats TTU two weeks from now, and they jump over Florida and Texas to #2.

Then Florida narrowly beats Alabama in the SEC title game.

Florida becomes #1, 'Bama #2, and they play again in the BCS MNC.

They can not do this, remember, it was illegal for OSU and Michigan to play back to back games, should be the same here.

in 1971 Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado 1-2-3 in country. No one, including Colorado, was with in 3 touchdowns of to the other two teams.:D This year it's Texas Tech, Texas, Oklahoma. Could end up the same way.:D

Don't count on it .....
This is M's perfect oppertunity to ruin another OSU year, they do it every time one team is good and the other is not.

This will be a much better game than most think, M has NOTHING to lose.

Jimbo, if MSU beats PSU, Penn State would have 2 losses, both in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes also have 2 losses, but only 1 in the Big Ten. Ohio State would then share the Big Ten Title with Michigan State. But Ohio State would go onto the Rose Bowl since we beat them already. (Hypothetically speaking IF OSU wins their final 2 regular season games).

I'd like to see Oregon State win out and get into the Rose Bowl.

I'm getting a little bit tired of seeing the Song Girls EVERY January in Pasadena.

Huh?! Who on earth could be tired of seeing the Song Girls?!

Other than Texas/Michigan in 2005, every Rose Bowl since 2004 has had USC.

Just once, I want someone else in the Pac-10 to represent that conference.

I hope Oregon State wins out.

BTW, even if USC gets in, they won't win. Their offense is too weak. I don't care how good their defense is.

It's called multi-tasking. On most days, I am in the office with a computer in front of me. ;)

Hmmm,
We have strict rules that prevent us from doing such a thing....
Computers are company property and we are reminded often.
One guy was even fired over computer use ... of course he was down right stupid.
