NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Bring it on. Make my day! Boomer Sooner!

Only if I beat Bill in my other avatar bet.

BTW, your avatar doesn't exactly convince me you are a Sooners fan (your location does).

Oh, and don't think I'm really cocky about the game- I have given some high praise to OU's team.

The Pokes offense picked a crappy time not to show up tonight, but I think the OU/Tech game will be the same way. The offense that screws up first, and goes three and out will be the one that loses. Congrats to Tech, I never expected the Pokes to stop their offense, but I didn't expect our offense to fall apart. It was like OSU threw this seasons entire play book out.

Are there ANY good games next week?

The bih boys are either off or play bad opponents.
There are several good matchups in the ACC. VT-Miami on Thu night, UNC-Maryland and BC-FSU on Sat. Those games will go a long way to sorting things out in the ACC.

Next week may be a not-so-star-studded week for college football, but the week after definitely is.

Consider the games on the 22nd:

Texas Tech/Oklahoma

BYU/Utah

Michigan/Ohio State

Michigan State/Penn State

Pittsburgh/Cincinnati (Could decide who wins the Big East)

Cal/Stanford (Stanford has a shot at bowl eligibility)

Oregon State/Arizona (Pac-10 Bowl implications- could decide the Rose or Holiday bowls)

Florida State/Maryland (The wacky Atlantic Division could be settled!)

Indiana/Purdue (Joe Tiller's final game)

Tennessee/Vanderbilt (Vandy could be bowl eligible and Fulmer has to avoid even more humiliation)

Oh, and for laughs, Washington at Washington State. I HOPE THIS GAME IS TELEVISED- I WANT TO SEE THIS!

Sorry HD, but Ohio State/Michigan will have to take a backseat- Harrell and Bradford OWN the third Saturday in November.

This year ....

Lets see, Rutgers, South Florida, Arkansas, where are these teams that were suppose to be the ones that would crack the polls for years to come ?

Is T T also in that catagory ?
Once a few players graduate (Harrel and Crabtree) Does T T stay a top team ( top 15) or do they fall off the map like many others.

Don't get me wrong, I like what I see of them now offensively, but will they be able to recruit enough to stay a top team year in and year out.

You've also got Michigan St-Penn St that day. Any chance Ohio St-Michigan gets relegated to the Big Ten Network? I mean they don't even play for a jug or nothing.

They don't need to play for any useless JUG.
As for the BTN, NO it's normally on ABC up here and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

What time will the Ok. / T T game be, any word yet, I'm sure it has a scheduled time already, subject to change.
