NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Florida and Vandy still have ANOTHER quarter to play?

WAVE THE WHITE FLAG, VANDERBILT! THERE IS NO SHAME IN SURRENDER!

Can anyone find a good late-night game on the West Coast?

I would not call it an upset- Cincinnati and WVU both had 6-2 records heading into the game.

WVU was undefeated in league play, were ranked and were playing in Morgantown (historically one of the toughest venues to win)...........so yeah, I'll call it an upset. :)

Lots of no shows in Morgantown. It's gonna be a crock this year that a BE team gets into the BCS at the expense of someone better.

USC has turned the ball over a couple of times. Cal just can't capitalize on it. They shoot themselves in the foot, miss a wide open receiver, something stupid.

Earlier this season I made a post of how I was sick of the arguing going back and forth about which conference was better: ACC or Big East.

I think I said something to the effect that it was like comparing Rosie O'Donnell to Roseanne Barr.

I'm here to admit I was W-R-O-N-G!!

Obviously the ACC doesn't have a national championship powerhouse type team, but they do have several quality teams.

I count no less than six ACC teams that, IMO, would win the Big East.

Is there even a way to defend the Big East? Or the ACC for that matter. Or most of the Big 10. Or the Pac 10. I'm not sure I like this whole parity thing. It's dragged some of the conferences into mediocrity, where all the teams can beat each other, therefore they all suck.

Parity is not a bad thing. Who besides Nebraska or Florida St fans liked the way things were in the 90's? Those teams would beat everyone 90-0 every week and win the NC. Yawn. But the BE just stinks. How bad are Louisville, South Florida, and Rutgers now? There isn't a team in the BE that could finish in the Top 3 of any other BCS conference in the country.
