NCAA Football 2007-08

Jag,
that won't happen , it would only give the SEC supremecy more reason to complain, because they would then say, we don't play anyone other than our WEAK sisters.....

But I can name three games right off the top of my head that OSU could have dropped this year and added a B10 team. You cant tell me that the SEC schools would complain that they dropped Kent St, Youngstown St and Akron. Any B10 game would be better than these three. Now if you would say that they would be dropping a USC, Florida, etc... then I would have to agree.

Notre Dame will have no choice. Like you said earlier. All of this is about money. Notre Dame cannot and will not dominate like they use to.

Well, the local games have been going on for along time now and qwill continue to happen, it's all to give money back to the State universities.

That said, I agree, three is a bit much.
Looks like they play 4 out of conference games for quite a while.
Most of that started when teams were required to add an addl. 12th game.

I agree that the local games should continue but they should cut the number back to one per year.

I think that would be the right thing also, but I don't make the schedules, also, people are forgetting that ALL of the Big Ten does this, not JUST OSU.

Jimbo

OSU was just an example.

I understand this, it's just that people like to use OSU as an example like they should not be there, just because they are.

If a FLA team was in the same situation or a team from Calif, it would be OK to be ranked # 1, they are worth it, even though they all have more losses at this point.

I really hope that my Spartans can come up with a big win this weekend and then we wont have to hear about how they shouldn't be there. ;)

That would be good because the Buckeyes havn't really played anyone yet to rank #1.
I'd really like to see Illinois beat the Wolverines too.:hungry:

I feel they do rate the #1 right now becuase they are one of the last teams with 0 loses. All the other teams should not have lost and it would not be an issue.

Well,
You have a coach that runs the same D that OSU does and knows OSU better than anyone other than Coach Tressel.

I happened to watch last weeks MSU game while in Brooklyn.
MSU has a very good Offense an aggressive D* and a Special teams team that is questionable. Very good on the Return team, not so good on the kcik and punt coverage.

We will see how explosive the offense is when they see a D* better than themselves.

My assasment may be slightly skewed due to the team they were playing.
I think Ringer and the QB are the real deal.

I see a game better than most expect, it will be interesting to see how well OSU QB plays against them .... that will tell the tale of this game.

Given time, Coach Dantonio will have them back in contention with the Big boys in the Big Ten. :)

Going to watch Kentucky beat Florida to break their 20 game losing streak against them.

Im hoping Tenn lose's to Alabama and then When florida beats Kentucky to day, gives them a better shot at the SEC title, and even perhaps a national title if we continue to see the top teams go down in defeat.

Sorry to tell you that Florida stands no chance at making the national championship game. Their second loss of the year sealed their fate.
