NCAA Football 2007-08

Not in my wildest dreams. I never even heard of them till this season. The way the top teams have been falling their stay in the top 3 maybe short.

I saw their game over the weekend, and that team is ALOT better than people think. They have beaten some pretty good teams both at home AND on the road. BUT, it is still VERY early...and those AWAY conference games can be downright scary as hell....

Even though they have four games on the road left, they only have to worry about Cincinnati and Louisville, and those games are at home, everything else should be a cake walk.

Seems to me USF is taking a lot of recruits out of Florida, maybe that's one of the reasons The "U" and Florida State aren't the power houses they use to be.:)

That is very true....but think about it this way....it goes to show you that Florida is the best state for high school talent...if not one of the top 2.

Hey Jimbo, Michigan has got the Buckeyes right where we want them - on top of the polls!

Yup, I know, it always works out that way, if Ohio State is haveing a good year and M is down, M has nothing to lose and we will play conservative, I can see them screwing up a good to great season, still not sure about the offense, but we have a very solid D ....

I thought that only happened during the Cooper error. (Era)

By the way, now your Buckeye's are EXTREMELY OVERRATED!

You know, everyone keeps saying that, but ,if everyone else loses, what are you suppose to do, say , NO we don't want the # 1 ranking ?

This way, as long as we keep winning, we SHOULD go to the National Championship game, all though I don't know that we will win out.

btw, Anyone know the date of the National Championship game and time yet ?

I would say, in this order:

Florida
Texas
California
Ohio
Michigan
Pennsylvania
Georgie
Louisiana
Oklahoma
Tennessee

Watch for this guy.

Jeannette QB named top junior prospect in nation

Player of the year: Terrelle Pryor ... Tough guy to contain

He plays for a high school in my area, real good player, probably going to Ohio State, hear that Jimbo? Texas and WVU are in contention, but Ohio State will probably get him. I wounder why he doesn't want to go to Pitt.

Yes,
I saw his name mentioned previously in my Sporting News as the Top QB in the nation and with the possibility of going to Ohio State, but as mentioned there were other teams also listed, and the re is alot of time till signing day.
It would be nice to see Ohio State finally get a top notch QB ... :eureka

Here we go again ...

#2 South Florida loses to Rutgers 30-27
After watching the game as much as I could, it looks to me like neither team knows how to tackle .... that is a problem with alot of teams as well, but it was definatly very evident last night.

Why is it that the TOP 10 teams in the nation outside of Ohio State have this weekend off ?

Another reason why the Big Ten is tougher than the SEC, PAC SEC and PAC continues to get bye weeks to heal injuries and get thier act together. :o:rolleyes:

This is why the other conferences still play well into Dec and take a few weeks off and play well into the bowl season, while the Big Ten plays 12 straight weeks and finish thier season and suffer every year when the have a month and a half off, the time off between the season and bowl games are rediculous.

I take this back, for some reason on mike and MIKE this morning, they showed Ohio State and Kansas as the only teams playing , I thought that seemed kinda wierd.

Now I want to find out just what they were talking about ......

edit: Ok, they were showing the Undefeated teams that were left and who they were playing this w/e.

# BC is off as is # 8 Arizona State and # 18 Hawaii

Jimbo

Ohio St. can easily adjust it's schedule to have a week off if it wanted to.

Most teams wind up with a week off, because they like to have their first game around Labor Day weekend, and have their final game against an in state rival on Turkey Weekend. With only 12 games a season, 1 week has to be off. Back when they were limited to 11 games, they usually had 2 off.

Believe it or not, there were quite a few people that predicted that Rutgers would win that game outright and alot of people "in the gambling know" were stating to TAKE Rutgers plus the points.....hhhmmmmmm

The Big 10 is no way tougher than the SEC. Again, just go by the OTHER teams....the "bottom feeders" in the SEC are much better than the Big 10.
Not to mention the fact that you have 7 teams....SEVEN TEAMS in the BCS Top 25.....and the Big Ten.....2. That my friend, say ALOT....
