Woops almost forgot about them.
Seriously though, I don't know if it's the state of baseball, but was it me or was this year's World Series Championship the quietest championship ever? It came and went like the wind. I don't remember it getting much hub-bub at all.
I guess they didn't show the parade down the Canyon of Heroes in Cleveland. Then again, why would they?
Your perception is more about the business-like manner of the Yankees, their manager, and their captain though. They're not the Jets, even though the Yankees obviously don't, they expect to win every year. No joy is taken in simply making it to the final four.

The 'Cuse looked great last night. I am cautiously VERY optimistic about them being a Final Four team.
They would be a strong contender for that. BTW I picked the Cuse to win it all back in 03, even won some money with that call.
I was not THAT confident in that team because of the Syracuse past of being a high seed and getting knockout in the 1st or 2nd round. THIS team seems different from all those other teams.

Classic trap game. They beat dook on Sat and play Villanova this weekend. All of a sudden South Florida may no longer be a gimmie in the BE. They've beaten Pitt and Georgetown in the last week.
