NCAA College Basketball 2009-10 Season

Kansas will regain their #1 ranking with their hard-fought win over K-State, combined with Kentucky's loss on Tuesday and Syracuse's sluggish performance against a very bad DePaul team.

KU travels to Colorado on Wednesday. Could lightning strike twice? I don't think so.

Here's how the College Gameday basketball schedule shapes out the rest of the way:

Next Saturday- Michigan State at Illinois (Spartans are the class of the Big 10, and it has a personal connection with me- one of my siblings is a student at Illinois)

February 13- Tennessee at Kentucky. That could be very, very good- but I'll be watching NBA All-Star Saturday

February 20- UCLA at Washington. Yuck. If they had the ability to alter their schedules like the football shows does, a better matchup would be Ohio State-Michigan State or Illinois-Purdue.

February 27- Villanova at Syracuse. If everything breaks right, it'll be a battle of top 5 teams. Chances Salsa makes a trip to the Carrier Dome for this?

March 6- North Carolina at Duke. Anders, Tobacco Road is pretty much all Carolina has to salvage their season. If they can't beat dook once or twice, then that is truly proof of how much a difference a year can make.

That game looks awful. As much as I dislike Big Ten basketball I'd watch either of those games before this one.

We've won in the outhouse 4 years in a row. We'll be ready.

Just be glad it hasn't pushed your coach over the tipping point, like ours.

UConn @ Lewisville tonight. A turnover-prone team vs a team that thrives on causing turnovers. Uh oh.

Could Roy be on the hot-seat this season? Surely someone has to take the fall for this disaster of a season, right?
Hot seat? We're not crazy. Someone will take the fall though. I'm hoping some people transfer and am glad others are graduating.

Your boy Danny Green is finally getting some PT in Cleveland. He took a bad fall last night (someone undercut him on a dunk and he fell on his tail-bone). I'm hoping he's ok. Anyways, from what I see of him, he will be a good one. A lot of athleticism in that kid!

I already miss him. You guys have Jawad Williams from the 05 NC team too. I saw him playing recently. Don't know how much he contributes, but he's another local product along with Lebron, playing for the Cavs.

I forgot Jawad went to UNC. He played High School ball here in Cleveland. He's getting even more PT than Danny Green. Lately he's the 8th guy on the pecking order, usually in with the second rotation. I like what I see from him too. A lot of young talent on this team.

He is just one of those babys that needs to get over the fact he can't have everything his way.

New Rankings. I don't agree with Syracuse being above KY in the AP Poll.

Wow.....the 'Cuse is 20-1 in the rugged Big East! I am still a little stunned by this. The Big East has 3 teams in the top 10. Interesting....

'Cuse is the only thing holding the state of NY together at the moment. The Bills and Rangers are both disasters. New Yorkers need this and I'm happy for the Orange!
