NCAA College Basketball 2009-10 Season

Game tied at 65 with 40 seonds left and the 'Cuse took a shot, missed...got back the rebound and took a quick shot. Now the break was, Boeheim called a timeout on what semed like AFTER the shot left Jardine's hands....which would have resulted in UConn with the ball and a chance to win the game. The refs gave the ball BACK to the 'Cuse with 33 seconds left. Then the 'Cuse did the unthinkable....they hit their freethrows!! And won the game.

Any way you slice it, the 'Cuse is finding ways to WIN this year, rather than finding ways to lose. That is a step in the right direction.

John Cahill (the ref who gave Boeheim 2 BS timeouts that saved them from turnovers) always finds a way to make us lose. What an epic piece of #%@#$%@#%# ref he is.

FYI - he was the same ref that called a foul in a tie game @ Cincy with 0.7 secs left.

Yeah and this guy works a game every night of the week and then 2 more on the weekends.Between all the running up and down the court, the traveling between cities and general lack of rest, he and about 25-30 others that have the same schedule wear down as the season progresses and at the time when the games are the most crucial we get the worst officiating. I have been saying for years that, even though they are private contractors, the NCAA should put a limit on the amount of games they can work in a weeks time. It's not fair to the players and coaches to work so hard only to have some tired and grouchy middle aged man take the game away from them.

John Clogerty was the same way in the SEC.

A "Catastrophe" of Hatian Proportions.... according to Roy Williams

This is an actual on the record quote that Williams gave to known journalist Stewart Mandel in an entire room full of reporters:

"Our massage therapist told me, 'You know, coach, what happened in Haiti is a catastrophe. What you're having is a disappointment,' " said Williams. "I told her that depends on what chair you're sitting in. It does feel like a catastrophe to me, because it is my life."

Just when things couldn't get any worse for UNC...

I think that is blown out of proportion. Roy isn't responsible for Haiti. He is responsible for Carolina basketball. There's no way to put lipstick on a pig and say that this season is OK just because some people have it worse somehere else in the world. That's always going to be the case. But that's not Roy's problem. The team is his problem and it is a disaster. Put this down as just another example of someone being honest and getting ripped for it. People say they hate liars, but they sure do seem to dislike the truth too.

So....am I not trying to be a pr*** ....but don't ya think comparing the two is a tad drastic? Really? Haiti?

Is he actually comparing UNC bad season to what happened in Haiti??!!
Watch the video. The worst part is that he says it with a friggin grin on his face.

Kinda sad that his massage therapist has a better perspective on things.

Oh, and one more thing: Why did he even bring this up in the first place??

I'll admit that it was a poor analogy to make but Roy wasn't reading from a telepromter. He was speaking off the cuff. As long as losing is unacceptable to him then his heart is in the right place. It's when losing becomes OK that I'll have a problem.

I really want to get into college basketball, but the Mountain West television contract prevents me from doing so. So absurd, arguably the best game in the country last night and MTN was showing a bunch of women playing a multiple overtime game instead of two top 25 teams going at it (UNM v UNLV).
