NCAA Basketball 2008-09 Season

I SOMEWHAT like Big Ten Basketball....it's the football conference that blows chunks!;)
Big Ten basketball sucks too. Unless you like seeing lots of games in the 50's. Watching Big Ten basketball is like watching 8 year olds play in a rec league. Sometimes I think they should just lower the goals to 8 feet to make easier for them to score. :D

Well I guess a 9' rim should work just fine for the ACC, see that your guys are ONLY a step better this season.

I thought College Basketball was all about fundamentals and the NBA was where you went to run up the score? Bottom line, the Big Ten has historically played solid team defense. What's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with good defense. I just don't like seeing teams take the air out of the ball. It's nice to see guys knock down an open shot from time to time instead of the typical Big Ten brickfests.

No love for MICHIGAN? All we did (we're also unranked) is beat #4 UCLA, and the new #4 Duke. Of course the BIG 10 is just a 'dead horse".

Trust me, I'm very happy that Michigan beat dook*. I had the Michigan fight song in my head Saturday night. Hopefully all those articles and discussion on TV about dook* being underrated (despite the fact that they were ranked 4th and have 7 McDonalds All Americans on their team) will go away.

HOW can you be underrated and have 7 McDonald's All-Americans??!!:confused:

You can't. But somehow the morons at DSPN (the D is on purpose) had articles on their web site and had discussions on their talk shows all day the day after dook* beat Purdue about how dook* was underrated.

Well, we all know where I stand and I don't think they're underrated. Quite possibly the opposite. Been that way for the last few (as in 4 or 5) seasons. There have only been a few occasions where I truly believe DUKE was top 10 worthy. Will they get better? Good possibility, IMO. Will they flat-line? Doubtful; but it is possible, I suppose. Still early in the season. Who knows...? I do believe, however, Michigan is the underrated team. Numbers don't lie. :(

Before ANYONE crowns the Tar Heels undefeated champions....let's ATLEAST wait till conference games starts. It's amazing how powerhouse teams can destroy NON-CONFERENCE top ten teams, then go into a conference foes' house that is nowhere near as good as they are...and lose..and sometimes lose BIG.

Anyone watch the Davidson/WVU game last night?

Is there a more exciting player in college basketball than Stephen Curry?

This dude is single handily putting Davidson on the map!

I was there :)

Amazing thing is how pedestrian he was for about 2/3 of the game. Came alive in winning time

Curry is awesome. I love watching him. He is everything that's right with college basketball. I also loved his father Dell when played with the Hornets back in the day.

When it comes to big players in college basketball, there's a guy in Big 12 country who's playing good basketball as well.

Keep an eye on Blake Griffin of fifth-ranked Oklahoma. He's not as flashy or high-scoring, but he is also really good.

(Norman has a shot at pulling the Florida double-dip, BTW)

Griffin is really good too. And Sabres you misspoke. Oklahoma has a shot a pulling the Ohio St double dip.
