* A environment of academic impropriety, from players not attending class to grade changing to tutors doing work for players.
* Widespread drug abuse and a drug policy that isn’t uniformly administered.
* Hostesses in the Orange Pride program providing sex to recruits.

Love SI notifying OSU admin, but not providing anything to back it up. This supposedly all happened during the Les Miles reign and into Gundy's first season. Now West Virginia is investigating too since former OSU coach and now WVU coach Joe DeForest is supposedly named in this.

They mentioned at the beginning of the game that,I believe,Tom Harmon was the first Michigan player to win the Heisman Trophy,& that Gardner, originally having number 12,was nominated to wear Tom Harmon' s number for as long as he plays for Michigan. Tom Harmon' s son,the NCIS dude on CBS,was there for the ceremony of awarding a current Michigan player his father's number.

Whatever happened to not dropping in the polls if you don't lose ?
The AP ranking are a JOKE.

Buckeyes played much better this week, won very convincingly (42-7)with their back up QB and STILL drop in the poll.

Now down to number 4, at this rate they will be out of the AP Polls by the end of the year and potentially be undefeated.

Ironically the other poll has them at #2.

Actually, the USA Today poll has them third. Its early, and these things will shift around a lot.
I have little issue with Clemson being ranked higher than OSU, they should be at this point.

They should be #2 like they started.

Your argument for them being ranked over Clemson being ? Not that it matters at this point at all. If there is a joke in the polls right now it is Clemson being 5 in the usa today. Again early, but out of the top five, they are the only one to beat a top ranked team.

I darn sure don't see the argument for them being below Stanford at least. Or Oregon.

Clemson will get upset between now and the ACC Title game, you can pretty much bet on that. Bad thing is it hurts a ACC teams chances at going to the NC but ohh well that is just how it is playing in the ACC against unpredictable teams year in and year out. Miami looks good this year thus far but then again they played a Florida team that was highly over rated which proves you just can't buy into early season rankings.

Well, if you start #2 and don't lose, you shouldn't be dropping like your a nobody ...

Hmmm, Bama didn't look exactly GREAT the first week and didn't play this week, but I don't see Oregon and Clemson passing them.

My argument for my team is they have won three out of the past four national championships. In convincing fashion no less.

Osu was undefeated last season, that's a convincing argument imo. I didn't figure I would have to make your argument for you, even still there would be flaws to that thinking.

However, Clemson so far this year, again, is the only one out of the top five to beat a top ranked team.

If they were to pass us this early, and they wouldnt just because of how the polls are, I wouldnt necessarily freak out over it. So far, on this season alone, they have a valid argument.

Taken over the past several seasons, bama has a very strong claim to being number one until they aren't. Even if I admit that the offense sucked in week one.

But the polls are suppose to be for what you have done THIS year, once the games actually start ... pre season polls are fine, I don't care where they are, they are just so people have an idea going in.

You mentioned about beating a top 5, thats great that they were able to do it, however, they are probably the only one to have a top 5 game scheduled to this point.

Jimbo, your own posts make the argument to why Clemson should be ahead of Yall. Or us for that matter.

The polls are what they are however, and they draw on past success right or wrong to begin with, then go from there.

Like it or not, bama has an iron hold claim on the top spot until they lose, probably even if they play ugly.

Osu hasn't been that consistent. They get credit for last season, hence the high preseason ranking, but given this year's results, Clemson has a better claim to a higher spot.

I'll give you Stanford or Oregon. It's a wash between them all, but it really doesn't matter. It will work itself out.

Clemson was ranked 8th coming into the season and you think they should be ranked #2 after 2 weeks ?

I know alot of teams that would disagree.

You yourself said the polls should be based on this season.

Give me a team that has a stronger argument based on that alone (which it isnt ).

Your ok with a team jumping 7 spots in 2 weeks while the teams they pass all won as well ?
I know they didn't jump quite that high, but your talking that way.

And if they went to #1 after 2 weeks from 8 passing the #1 team thats only played one game ?

Jimbo, are you even reading my reasons for my position on the subject? For that matter, are you reading you own ?

Clempson is ranked where they are because they beat Georgia who convincingly beat South Carolina. With nothing else to go on, I have no problem with where they are.

Personally I think all the polls are flawed until about the 5th week. The Harris Poll has it correct in not starting until then.

This early in the season, the polls are about as worthless as they were in the pre-season.
There is still plenty of time for Ohio St. to prove where they should be, along with the other teams. Do your business on the field, and things will sort themselves out later.

FLa had 412 yards of offense to Miamis 212.. Fla had the ball for 38 mins Miami 22 mins.

The deciding factor? 5 turn overs, and 10 penalties. vs 1 turnover and 5 penalties.

I stated before the season my worry was our offense and it dam sure still is. I think we were in the redzone and came out empty handed 5 times.

So you are saying Miami' defense had nothing to do with the cause of those turnovers?

The 2 fumbles were absolutely good plays by the Miami defense, the interceptions were brutal throws by Driskel right to the defender(But give them credit for being in position to make the play). The interior Miami defense was very good, why Florida kept running there when the outside was there I have no idea. Al Golden and his staff definitely out-coached Muschamp and his band of idiots.

I am still trying to figure out why Florida went for 2 after their TD, it was a dumb decision(stupid coach:mad:) and gave Miami the momentum right back.
