I had a strange feeling it was going to be a hard-hitting, tough game. Florida's defense is very tough, but Miami's defense, considering how absolutely horrible they were last year, show some toughness and made the defensive plays to win.

The play calling by the OC in the second half was atrocious. Everybody knew the Canes were gonna run on first and second down...and they still ran NINE consecutive run plays. When they passed on first down, The U was very successful.

Time to fix those coaching mistakes and luckily The U has next week off.

FLa had 412 yards of offense to Miamis 212.. Fla had the ball for 38 mins Miami 22 mins.

The deciding factor? 5 turn overs, and 10 penalties. vs 1 turnover and 5 penalties.

I stated before the season my worry was our offense and it dam sure still is. I think we were in the redzone and came out empty handed 5 times.

And just like that the acc is holding sway over the sec. Lol, go figure.

Of course, I wasn't all that sold on Florida, I was on Georgia, wasn't sure about Clemson.

I'm thinking Kenny Guiton runs Urban Meyers Offense better than Braxton Miller, at least at this point ...

With Guiton in there, the RB's touch the ball more often and it makes the D Not key as hard on the QB, thus making it easier for Guiton to run the ball when he does decide to run, while when Braxton is in there, they expect him to run the ball and it clogs things up some.

Now granted they are not playing anyone, but watching the O go with Kenny in, just looks more crisp.

The Toledo Rockets that played Florida and lost, respectfully 24-6 last week ...
Is hangin tough so far with Missouri, trailing 24-23 with 5 to go in the 3rd quarter.

Lots of time left in this game though ...

Looks like Missouri is starting to wear down Toledo in the 4th quarter.

I give credit to Toledo for hangin in there with them, this experience the last few weeks will go far to help them when they get In conference.

Good golly, Missouri's uniforms are ugly.

I've seen many that are today. Toledo is no exception imo.

The worst I've seen today however is southern miss.

Sooners looking very young and inexperienced. Looks like I've missed a couple of good games today. Hopefully I can scan thru a few games on dvr in morning before NFL.

Why and How is Michigan's QB Devin Gardner wearing number 98 ?

First Why ?

and second, aren't QB's required to wear certain numbers ?

He is wearing a legends number, that is a "retired" number sort of, Tom Harmon, and a player wears it. I am guessing they must have got permission for the 98

Looks really STRANGE seeing a QB wear that number ....

Now if he wanted to wear Brady's number, I'd understand ... then again, I don't know for sure what number he wore either and I'm pretty sure it's not retired.

Checked, he wore 10.

Especially since Gardner is on the thin side..those numbers almost wrap-around the jersey. Brady's number will never be retired/achieve legends status because he sat on the bench most of his career.

Yea, most recent number for legend is the number 21 that is being worn (Desmond Howard)

He played his Jr and Sr years ... but I know what you mean, most don't realize that Brady was not an all pro at Michigan when he was there.
