I'm hoping thats the score for the Buckeyes too, the 34 part that is, but I think Toledo gives them a much better game, OSU pulls away in the 4th.
Then again, I think my High School team (Toledo Whitmer)(OH) could have beat Akron.
Those in Ohio will know the name, along with the other typical playoff teams in HS football.
Speaking of Toledo, this week's mathup for the Bucks is much tougher. The Rockets are the best team in the MAC. And the Buckeyes are still without a few starters. I'm not saying they will lose, but this will be a much tougher game.

I agree, this will be a very tough game, Toledo has a knack for knocking off the Big Boys.
Hopefully the Bucks pull away early in the 4th, if not sooner.
I'm not sure I would be making any comparisons of Fickell with Woody Hayes until he actually wins something...that or punches an opposing player on National TV, whichever comes first.

That wasn't the point, the point was no one else has started thier coaching career with a shut out.
I was kidding, but what I meant was you are both talking up a team that has little to no chance of beating OSU, "just in case"

I know, but I have always hated "new coach" comparisons and prefer to wait until they win some big games, a conference title, etc. Plus, it just looked odd seeming Fickell and Woody mentioned in the same sentence.
I agree, especially with the level of competition that first games usually entails.
Nobody is thinking Toledo will beat OSU however, unlike Akron, Toledo has some players, a good coaching staff, and can play football. Toledo should help fans and foes gauge how good the offense and defense is this season.

It's unfortunate that when anyone thinks of Woody Hayes these days their first image is of him punching an opponent and then having to be restrained on the sidelines.
Anyway, let us know when Fickell wins something or is charged with aggravated assult.

I wish I could help you but I haven't dined in Ann Arbor in years. My parents are less than 40-miles from the Big House so we avoid eating locally since everything is packed on game day.
