2011 Big Ten Football

Tigers game taking the beating now, too bad it held off so long, they could have used a PP.

Storm will be in Cleveland in a few hours, they better hurry up with thier game and get 5 innings in.

I see a whole line of Thunderstorms rolling into the area but it's still early so they may give it a couple hours to move out. I hate to cancel the game with a runner on 2nd base, Avila at bat, and Peralta on deck with one out in the 8th.

My first trip to An Arbor next week...excited! And I get to see two legends with Notre Dame playing. Or is it one legend and one leader? ;). Hope the weather there is better than it was yesterday!

Penn State looked pretty good, but do they have a shot of overcoming a very tough Alabama defense at home? It's a long-shot but State College would be rocking if they do. Reason to watch: heck, it's #2 ranked Alabama against a Top 25 Penn State team and JoPa for crying out loud.

The Michigan versus Notre Dame rivalry has lost some of its luster but we'll get an opportunity to see if Norte Dame can rebound from another disappointing loss and if Michigan can play a 4-quarter game and show improvement over last season. Reason to watch: heck, it's the two winningest football programs in college football history and the first night game at the Big House being played in fron of 113,000 people for crying out loud.

Wisconsin, Ohio State and Nebraska should all roll. I'm most interested in seeing how Michigan State plays their 2nd game...should be an indicator if they are going to compete for a Big Ten championship - didn't look like it the other day.

Interesting, a 1 win team last year Akron plays OSU and is on ESPN, a team that won the MAC (or second, don't remember) Toledo and they play them on the BIG TEN network ....

Hopefully it will; be on locally on the ABC network seeing it's a local game.
Then again, probably not, seeing OSU is obligated to play a few games on the B10 Net.

Toledo should be a good test for the Buckeyes...we'll find out how good they are this week. Personally, I usually prefer the Big Ten football coverage for two reasons: 1) ABC/ESPN has some really horrible regional announcers (some good ones, a lot of bad ones) and 2) the bottom quarter of the ESPN/ABC screen is filled with bugs, score tab and scoll bars which makes it impossible not to see scores of games you're recording - plus, they keep cutting into the game with score updates.

Notre Dame football- overrated for the last two decades.

What does NBC see in the Irish that we don't?

As the rest of said $$$$ and a alumni base across the nation. But yes I don't get there top 25 early season rankings the last few years
