Well, so far the Offense has struggled because the coaches are trying to involve everyone Robinson. However, it looks like this offense isn't explosive unless Robinson is running the ball. As for the Defense...well, it doesn't much different than the 110th ranked bunch they fielded last year: no pass rush to speak of and terrible secondary coverage. At least they are finishing their tackles. I guess that I was expecting as much better, much improved, Team Defense.

Purdue 27 Middle Tennessee 24
Northwestern 24 Boston College 17

Winconsin looked really good. Ohio State looked Okay (hard to tell playing a 1-11 Akron team). Michigan State was disappointing. Penn State looked solid. Purdue won an exciting come from behind game, and Northwestern looked pretty good is a fun win at Boston College.

Penn State looked especially well. I hope Michigan can do something with defense but now that Rodriguez is gone it can only get better. I think Wisconsin looked tough as well and Ohio State can't be counted out. Looking at some fun conference games this season.

I know it's only game one but for Michigan it's back to basics running the ball and to see the defense pressure the QB a bit have not seen that on a couple of years!!

It got REAL dark down here and the thunder was happening, but we pretty much missed the monsoon they tried to play in.

Ohio State looked OK for the first game of the season with 1/2 the team playing ....
Freshman RB Carlos Hyde looked good as did the O line, then again, it was Akron, so it's really hard to say.

Really liking what I saw from the Freshman QB Braxton Miller, he's a MUCH better passer than Pryor and has the same ability running.

I'll shut up... I promise. You guys don't know what football does to me. Michigan's defense is lighting this QB up now.

It's like the coaching staff was able to make to make halftime adjustments and motivate the defense...something RR and his henchmen couldn't do last year. I still see some problems out there, but by golly it's nice to see them play defense with their hearts and minds for a change.

Tigers game taking the beating now, too bad it held off so long, they could have used a PP.

Storm will be in Cleveland in a few hours, they better hurry up with thier game and get 5 innings in.

Yeah a do over would have been nice....but a good start for big ten, gophers played well against USC

Minnesota shutdown USC in the 2nd half but couldn't in the final minutes; final score USC 19-17. It looks like the Trojans are going to struggle on offense this year.
