Facts only, please

Pittsburgh Steelers, established 1933 - 8 Superbowl Appearances, 6 wins, 2 losses

Denver Broncos, established 1960 - 6 Superbowl Appearances, 2 wins, 4 losses

I've already stated the Steelers are a world class organization.

I think the Radiers and Lions get the majority of the bad calls, the Lions have been getting them for the last 40 years .... All SELF Imposed !
False Starts , jumping offsides, thats not including the Laundry list of calls they have inflicted on themselves this year.

I've been paying closer attention to them because they're a good team now, but I got to tell you, the Lions are one of the most undisciplined teams I've EVER seen. To me that's all on Schwartz.

B-I-N-G-O!!!:up

I shudder to think where this league would be without instant replay right now!
Actually, instant replay has enhanced the degradation of the officiating. Their attitude seems to be that they'll make a call, any call, and then rely on the replay to get it right.

No, I don't think specific HITS are premeditated, but the way he plays is. He could actually use his arms and TACKLE, instead of always leading with his helmet to take another player out. THAT style is premeditated.

And the whole NFL could go back to TACKLING instead of launching themselves to knock someone down too, but ya know what, it's NOT gonna happen.
Real tackling is a thing of the past.
I saw Palomolau make a REAL tackle last night and it ended up being a 2-3 yard loss in the backfield.

Yes, the tackling has gotten atrocious, but no one player goes after another player like Harrison does. If they did, we'd see the injuries, fines, and punishments just the same. And we're not seeing those.

BTW, have you seen Von Miller, he's a pretty good tackler.

Now, we'll have to see if Schwartz can reel in some of the emotion and get them playing more disciplined.

Actually, I think it DOES happen elsewhere, your just not seeing it, lots of CB's lead with thier heads all the time.

Wow, I missed a lot. I have to say that I have seen the play a bunch and it was illegal all the way. He leaps forward at him and launches himself into him. No wonder he has no time to react to McCoy. He can't because he is in the air the whole time.

Here's the hit. I'm sick of this POS! Fines and suspensions don't seem to be working with him. He doesn't get it and he won't change. This thug is going to kill or paralyze someone someday. I'm being dead serious! A lifetime ban would be appropriate. He leads with his helmet to the face of another player. This is illegal and vicious. This isn't the way the game was designed. Harrison plays to kill. He's a ruthless savage and it won't stop as long as he's allowed to be on the field.

Wow....that was really, really bad. He clearly lead with his helmet.

Here, I was looking for this and finally found it.

Rahim Moore led with his SHOULDER on this bang bang play, and STILL got fined 20K. How does this compare with Harrisons hit?

not close to comparison....That is a DEFENSELESS reciever that can not react to protect himself, what we are talking about are runners that can defend and move their pad level around...by the way did anyone see that colt's dad called the media today? I dont know about you but as a professional athlete I would be HIGHLY embarrassed!

I will say I know alot of steelers fans that are tired of James Harrisons style of play (myself included) as it seems like he is costing us alot with his penalties...My Personal Opinion is it is not needed and he is a better player then that. Also this thread goes to show whats wrong with the NFL, as even they have put out conflicting things about Helmet to Helmet contact and what is legal and what is not.. there are Gray areas that need to be taken care of because Players like James will always try to exploit them...anyways I do love a good debate :D

Moving on, I really really loved last nights game, it was hard hitting and not won till really the end, its nice to see Cleveland step up and play that type of game when in reality everyone expected them to just roll over and hand the win to the Steelers.

That's an excellent point. But I'm really concerned that in a big playoff game, a team wouldn't be able to challenge a no-brainer bad call because they have no more challenges.

He never LAUNCHED as you say, he tackled him.

I would be embarrassed if I were the Browns medical staff, there is NO WAY he should have went back in the game.

I honestly don't see much of a tackle there against McCoy which would've been more than enough for sure.

I haven't watched the clip from above yet.
Going from what I remember...

Edit:

Just looked at the play from above .... I see nothing wrong with it.

The officials are throwing flags INCASE a player doesn't get up.

If this guy had jumped right back up the flag never would have been thrown.
