IMO I think most of the people have hated for the steelers because the franchise since the superbowl has started been more successful than any other team.

People hate that steeler fans are known for being the best fans in football and that when they come to you're town there will be steeler fans every where.

Plus I'm sure other fans hate the terrible towel, especially since it's all over espn.
Well I disagree with who ever says the steelers are a dirty team. I don't know about Harrison getting fined even if it was a legal hit.but if that were to be the case I would say Harrison is to blame for calling so much attention to himself with his bone headed plays and big mouth. I can't say that about the rest of the defense. Steelers have one of my favorite defenses in the nfl right along with the ravens.and you're right about McCoy lol. He needs to beef up a little.

IMO he is going to get fined no matter if it was legal or not because he is James Harrison. He was behind the line of scrimmage so that will probably be the factor.

Last night after the game Deion Sanders said it was a legal hit because the QB while running changed his position and Harrison couldn't react in time and that is when he hit his helmet with his.

It's funny when a steeler player hits another teams player people always say that's a dirty team or that's a dirty player but when someone hits Ben or another steeler player it's ok.

I have to say is that Ben is a real football player always having something broken and still playing and winning, I also think McCoy needs to get bigger, he looks like he is 12.
Ben is a beast!!! And on the Harrison hit,let me tell you that it will always be very difficult to judge intent.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I don't "hate" any team. I never understood when a team wins everyone hates on them. I don't even hate the Yankees and all their championships, but because I'm a New Englander I'm "supposed" to.

Everyone outside of Boston hates the Boston teams. Why? Seven combined championships in nine years will do that. But for 15 years (1986-2001), we were known as "Loserville",and everyone was indifferent towards the Boston teams.

BTW, I'll call that Harrison hit dirty whether he played for the Steelers, Patriots or the Sisters of the Poor.

Harrison easily could have lowered his helmet and just CREAMED McCoy with a good chest tackle. Easily. He chose to launch himself leading with his helmet INTO McCoy's head.

THAT is very dangerous and illegal.

End of story.

It doesn't matter if it's RB, QB, or WR carrying the ball. You cannot do that.

You guys are all forgetting how FAST the play happens.

The D Linemen are taught to head but on the initial snap and push once the hit is made, they've been doing it all thier life ....
Harrison and all the other linemen do this every play, now suddenly after doing this all your life, youre suppose not hit someone else ?

Btw, Marcellus Wiley just spoke about this ...

I also don't think the Steelers are a dirty team. I respect them as a fierce, physical team. But I still think that was dirty play by Harrison.

I for one, am tired of the Steeler fan "woe is us" pity party.

You guys have a world class owner, organization, and team. There is only one player, maybe two, (I've heard other players say Hines Ward is dirty), that is causing your team to get all this attention. James Harrison. He would be getting this attention if he played for the Seattle Seahawks. He says he's not gonna change, well, he's gonna keep getting the attention then. The guy is a headhunter. I think he's different from Suh, in the fact that Suh is just a dumb guy, acting and/or reacting in a bad manner. Harrison goes out with premeditated intent to take players out. That's how he plays. He doesn't try to tackle. He hits with his helmet. That's just a fact. You don't see any other Steeler player getting fined or reprimanded on a continuous basis, like Harrison. And fines are handed out on a weekly basis to other teams' players, they just don't get the attention that Harrison does, because he is a habitual offender and so outspoken about it.

And as far as ALL the calls going against you. It's not just your team. The officiating is at an all-time low with bad calls and confusion amongst the refs. ALL TEAMS are getting the brunt of this. Not just your precious Steelers.

Let's see what happens when you're savoir Tebow gets hit like Ben does, and he will, then we will see if he comes back strong.

He's already taken plenty of hard hits this year, and come back strong. He's currently in more of a position to get hit than Ben is. We'll see as time goes by.

He may be your "savoir"(sic), but he's not mine.

So you really think the Harrison hit was Pre Meditated ?

The game moves WAY too quickly to do that.

With this day and age of technology where we can slow down each play, it's very difficult to not find issues.
They could find issues with EVERY play with every team, if they wanted too.

He'll end up with broken ribs soon, just like Vick did, it happens to alot of Running QBs.

B-I-N-G-O!!!:up

I shudder to think where this league would be without instant replay right now!

Ben and Pouncey got a MRI and it doesn't look good. Roethlisberger, Pouncey sprains "not good"

I wonder why they said "Doesn't look good"
It's no different that what we knew last night, a sprain is never a GOOD thing !

What the Steelers do have going for them is the fact that they have the next 10 days off, not playing again till Monday Night.

Oh he isn't my savior, my team doesn't need him to lead us to the promise land, my team, with the people on that team, has been there and has a chance to go again and again.

You need more than the savior to get there, you need a team.

No, I don't think specific HITS are premeditated, but the way he plays is. He could actually use his arms and TACKLE, instead of always leading with his helmet to take another player out. THAT style is premeditated.

oh, ouch!!!

I'll never forget being in Three Rivers to watch Elway and the Broncos win that AFC Championship game. :)

Losing happens to the best of us...

And how many superbowls does your team have, six? No that's the steelers.

I think the Radiers and Lions get the majority of the bad calls, the Lions have been getting them for the last 40 years .... All SELF Imposed !
False Starts , jumping offsides, thats not including the Laundry list of calls they have inflicted on themselves this year.
