The Cowboys are done for the year already. It sucks that today's game was nearly identical to the one against the Lions where the Lions made a 4th quarter comeback. Today was deja vu all over again. Jerry Jones is THE worst owner/GM in the history of the NFL. We need a real GM.

Salsa, I'll be honest. The Raiders might not be in that bad of a position because I dont think the AFC West is really strong. I think 9-7 could win the division. The Cheifs and the Broncos, I dont think are going to make a big run, which leaves the Chargers. Again, you never know the Raiders can pull it out. I actually had the Raiders winning the AFC West with a 10-6 record. It could happen.

Gotta love the blogs...all kinds of crazy stories of the Raiders trading for Orton, or trading Carson Palmer...

One interesting read is that Saints WR Marques Coulston only missed 3 weeks due to a fracture of the collar bone....one could only hope.

Thanks for the encouraging words!

I want to and gonna try to look at "the glass half full". KC is in town next week..which is good news the Raiders are home and KC has struggle due to their injuries. But don't let their slow start full you.....this is a big rivalry game and they will be ready to play! Boller will have a week of practice with the 1st team so his timing won't be off. The Raiders are still a run 1st, pass 2nd team. We are gonna see just how good HueJax system really is now.

Chiefs have had a bye week to consider the many ways they are going to lose to the Raiders running game while making their defense look better than Cincinnati's. Boller will be tasked with just managing the game and they'll run it down KC's throat.

Are you serious, meStevo? The UFL is canceled? How did you find out? Is there a link? Thats too bad, but you cant put a football league going up against the NFL during the season. You will lose everytime. Now, if the UFL was in the spring, thats a different story.

Giants won a crucial game today that they had to win. The Bills gave them hell and I think the Bills are not going away. I dont have thoughts on what happened after the game but congrats to the 49ers on a big win on the road. Hopefully, this is a minor setback for the Lions. The Eagles beat the Redskins. This just in...Rex Grossman stinks. Young comes into the game throws an INT and on the next play the Eagles get it right back. Btw, I think Grossman's line was 9/22 with 4 INTs.

Could be a really ugly ending.

The UFL will be announcing on Monday plans to scrap the last two regular-season games and fast-forward to the title game.
But the UFL could have a hard time getting some of the players to show up.A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that the players won’t be getting paid for the final two games that won’t be played. Also, players have been told that they’ll need to pay their own freight for their trip home.As a result, some agents are advising players for the participants in the championship game — the Las Vegas Locomotives, coached by Jim Fassel, and the Virginia Destroyers, coached by Marty Schottenheimer (pictured) — to simply not play in what very well could be the last game the UFL ever plays.

NO WAY he is the worst. Mike Brown of the Bengals is the worst, trust me.

Brown PR tripping over themselves trying to explain why Hillis hasn't been playing... First coaches decision, then 'oh wait, we meant hamstring.'

He pulled it on the 2nd run of the game. You can see him pulling up on it when he was being pushed out of bounds. Tried to come back, but he clearly wasn't 100%.

Hillis will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his pulled left hamstring that occurred early in the loss at Oakland. The Browns' leading rusher from a year ago said he was injured on his second run of the game when Raiders strong safety Tyvon Branch pushed him out of bounds.

As ugly and as terrible as the Browns no-imagination, lackluster, un-exciting West Coast Offense has been, we were 60 seconds away from tying the game or winning and 2 gimmick plays (fake FG for TD and Special Teams TD) away from winning that game in Oakland. Amazing. Oh, and Josh Cribbs wants out of this offense and back on Special Teams full time. This isn't good when one of your top leaders is speaking out like this....

"I'm very insignificant on offense, so I need to be out there heavily on all special teams," said Cribbs. "I got the ball only twice, so that's insignificant right there. Snaps, it's insignificant. I want to help my team win. You get the ball to your athletes. I feel like where I'm an asset on this team is special teams and I want to re-focus on what got me into this league."

He said he wouldn't want to change things "if I was making more of an impact" on offense. Instead, he'd like to get back to covering kicks and punts. He said he felt helpless watching the Raiders' Jacoby Ford score on a 101-yard return.

"I make tackles on special teams," he said. "I led the team every year when I was on coverage and I'm a dynamic special teams player. I don't remember a touchdown being scored on us being out there. I feel like we have enough receivers on offense to get things done. My touches this game are insignificant to the value I can bring to special teams.

He finished by saying, "I ain't got to ask. I'm a vet, I just do. I'm on [special] teams. Get somebody else out [as a receiver]."

Schefter: "Raiders have reached out to David Garrard. It doesn't mean they will sign him, but it does confirm there is some level of interest."

Scheftey: "Raiders also have reached out to free-agent quarterback Josh McCown as well, which suggests their search will be comprehensive."

Special teams is still part of Football. Hell, the Browns lived off that for a while with Cribbs. You cannot call it "gimmick" when you are hoping your "gimmick" guy wants to go back to it. The Raiders lack of continuity after they lost Campbell has alot to do with the Browns coming back. Campbell does not get hurt, the Browns do not come back. Boller had no handle on the offense....that help the Brown stay in the game.

I'm pulling for Tebow to do well...I'm not even sure why. I did not like the guy in college.

Perhaps it's because so many people dislike Tebow for wearing his faith on his sleeve. Does not seem like a good reason to hate.
