You talking about Vick? he will never be a pocket passer, when he tries he gets too many interceptions.

salsadancer7 said:Because he is clueless I reading coverage. There have been many QBs that were less gifted as an athlete than Vick, but much better QBs because they know to read defensive schemes and coverages from the moment they line up under center.
You said running QBs were not successful QBs, I give you Steve Young....and to a lesser extent and not in the same league, but Randall Cunningham. One was a great running QB that knew how to read defenses and became a great QB. The other, a great runner that learned how to read defenses and became a good running QB. Very hard to be a combo of both, these two did it.
At the Broncos next game (10/23 @ Miami), the Dolphins will honor the 2009 University of Florida national championship team at halftime.
Wouldnt it be great if the Broncos trade Orton to the Dolphins? And he starts against Tebow? That would make a good story and put eyes on the screen. Of course Tebow and the Broncos will destroy the Dolphins but at least its a story.
Again how do you defend against it? Its the perfect combination for offense and leaves a man open every time. If you protect against the QB run. because now defense has to worry about the TE, RB, WR, and the QB all being threats. If you rush to block the qb run then you have to leave open the screen pass. If you cover the screens you leave open the run. And in all this mix you have to defend against the long ball, because Tebow CAN throw it, and accurately.

I honestly think the Lions are going to have an easy schedule until they face the Packers on Thanksgiving since they'll be facing teams that seem to be mediocre at best. The only exception may be the 49ers next week, but even so, they haven't faced a tough opponent like Detroit yet so I still think this could be another easy win on Sunday. Here's the rest of the Lions schedule until Thanksgiving.
Week 7- Falcons
Week 8- Broncos
Week 9- Bye week
Week 10- Bears
Week 11- Panthers
Week 12- Packers on Thanksgiving

ok, I am gonna say since some might not. I LOVE what is going in Detroit, but it is WAY TOO EARLY for their fans to be calling any game an easy game. Look at Buffalo when they went to Cincinnati...am sure the ONLY folks that thought they would win that game were Bengal fans...and even they weren't even sure.
and let me add that who was young before he came to the 49ERS? Some people forget where this guy was before he came to the 49ers. He stunk. Young can thank San Francisco for that ring he has. He benefited hugely from the system that was in place on that team. Young was an ok qb. That's it. Throw in there any other average qb and the results would've been similar. We can't ignore the Steve Young pre 49ersWhen young got older and won his superbowl he learned to sit in the pocket, Vick never will.
That trade, if ever made would happen AFTER the two teams play one another.
Your making this WAY too complicated.
You game plan like you would a Vick or any other running QB.
Teams have figured out how to stop Vick and he's much more dangerous than Tebow.
It cant, the deadline is the 18th for the trade. So it has to happen before, if it does happen.

Exactly I could throw to rice and I would be in the hall of fame, well maybe not but you understand.
"By the way I was feeling, I just needed somebody else's opinion," said Hillis. "If [agent Kenneard Maguire] would have said, 'Peyton, you probably can do your thing,' I'd have listened to that. But he is my agent and he does help me out and I think we made the right choice, because I was definitely not healthy enough to play."
Hillis stressed that "it was ultimately my choice in the end. We both knew how sick I was and how bad it could be for the team and for myself if I had tried to play so it wasn't just my agent's decision. It was mine also."
Hillis still frames it as an entirely health-based decision, but upon hearing the word "agent," the mind immediately shifts towards the health of Hillis' bank account.
