He also played for Bo Schembechler so he learned from some of the best. He turned-around the University of San Diego football, turned-around the program at Stanford, and is not doing the same for the 49ers. I just wish he had accepted the job at Michigan.

Hey, Michigan is doing pretty good with the current coach, don't send him packing just yet. But back to Harbaugh, he has even made Alex Smith look good! Smith has completed almost 66% of his passes and a 104 QB rating.

Now tonight and Detroit... As just about perfect as the Packers are to being a complete team...the Lions are right there as well.

Like the Buffalo Bills, let's not anoint the Lions just yet.

They beat the Bucs (by a TD), the woeful Chiefs, Vikings (in OT) and Cowboys (by 4 pts).

Talk to me after they play the Bears twice, Packers twice, 49ers, Falcons, Saints and Chargers.

The Bills are THE big surprise, but...I don't know.... I am and probably will be a flip-flopper for the Bills all season.

Tebow/Quinn, Quinn/Tebow. Who cares. Neither one is anything above mediocre. Pretty sure horse face has bigger issues with the Broncos than just the QB spot.
lets give tebow a chance first. quinn has had plenty of chances to prove himself. if they have to sit tebow down again before the season ends, then we'll know he's just another quinn or worse.

we will.. "CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!" :p :D

You do realize that you'd help any thread to 'move on' from a topic if you didn't post one of your 'I'm going to get the last word in and  MOVING ON LMAO!' posts at all right?
same can be said about a few others. i'm sick of it.

The Good, the Bad and the STILL downright UGLY...

...Wow, what an emotional win yesterday by the Raiders. I was ripping them the entire 1st half here, but as if they and especially the defensive coaches heard, they played just well enough to win against a quality opponent.

The GOOD:

DHB...that's right, you heard me, Darrius Heyward-Bey has had some GREAT games the last two, none better than this one. Last week, he had 5 balls thrown to him, 4 catches for 115 yards. This week, 8 balls thrown, 7 catches for 99 yards and a great catch and run for a 35 yard TD. He showed tons of emotions and confidence...something that was lacking in him. Jason Campbell was calm, cool and collective in the 2nd half to lead his team after have a horrible 1st half(Raiders did not pick-up a single 1st down until that final drive in the 1st half). The Defensive front line was working it. The held Foster to 68 yards on 23 carries and batted down 7 passes at the line of scrimmage, 10 hits and 3 sacks...MOST of it coming in the 2nd half. Denarius Moore has taken over the return duties on punts and Jacoby Ford is back to return duties on KO and it has paid off. Miller, who the Raiders cut...was killing us.

The BAD:

Some of the defensive coaching assignments were HORRIBLE. Breshnahan better get his head out of his a$$. The Raiders are NOT a zone team. YES you can mix it in a little, but to almost play it exclusively in the 1st half, it almost killed the team. Luckily, he heard me screaming he was an idiot and he actually DID get his head out of his arse in the 2nd half and they played MUCH better.... That is MY story and I am sticking to it!:D
Offensively, the coaches went away from the running game TOO much in the 1st half. When they went BACK to it in the 2nd half, that opened up the passing lanes for the Raiders WRs.

The STILL downright UGLY:

Penalties....Penalties...Penalties!! UGH!! Though I must admit, the were 3 AWFUL penalties against the Raiders that just should not have been called. One, was a terrible PI called on that lead to a FG when DVD and Jones for the Texas sort of tripped over each others feet, then the NON-PI call on a streaking Denarius Moore where the CB is grabbing his arm the last 10 yards. It's one thing to earn your PI calls as a rookie WR, it's another to just down right ignore him grabbing him for 10 yards after the CB was beat! And finally, the awful roughing the passer call on Seymour when he was blocked to the floor and grabbed the QB by the legs....!! THAT penalty call was due to his stupid penalties to Brady...NOT because he actually did try to hurt Schaub.

Anyway, it was great to see the team emotionally come together for a quality win. Next week, the Brownies at home...

And who cares about the crappy Browns franchise, yet you keep talking about them.

Because its his team and he likes his team no matter how good or bad they are he is a browns fan, people here keep knocking other people because of who they root for is ridiculous, yeah me and hd and ramy go after each other because our teams are in the same division, but we don't put each other down personally like some people here do.

I'm tired of it I will be putting some people on ignore instead of avoiding the sports forum that I like so much.

I'm completely behind the Lions, love their story and will definately be rooting for them from here on out. My only thing is this. If we can't "anoint" the Bills yet, let's now "anoint" the Lions yet. The season is still very young.
can we anoint the fins????? :haha

With the addition of Max Starks the steelers O line was much improved, Ben had a great game, threw five TD passes and the running game was on track, hope they keep improving.

There's just no point being tactful anymore if some posters are going to turn threads into dumpster fires, you have to reply to them on their level from the get go, it ends up saving a dozen posts to finally get to the point. Your post carries just as much weight as the one Hart replied to, as he was replying to HD MM who said the exact same thing except about Yaz's team - "who cares."

I wish there was much more moderation in this forum, there was briefly the threat of it, but I think Ramy avoids ths forum too. I'd suggest reporting posts, but then you'll be infracted and banned for 'reporting posts that can hurt people's feelings'.

Moving on.... Ben looked great considering the fact that he was in a boot after last week's game. Rey, I have the STRANGEST feeling about that Jet game coming up. Personally, I think EVERYONE will have at least a couple of wins and I say the winner of the luck sweepstakes will be around 3-13, 4-12 range.

i agree but not so sure about that jet game. besides the fact that miami is bad, they're full of injuries. but yeah miami can win a couple of games with their schedule. i want them to win one game at the most :D
